Have you explored the asteroid field directly north (^)of the star?

The AI has a nasty habit of sneaking around your fleet and recolonizing planets you just took out. I solve this by having 2 fleets when conquering territory's. -First one is all combat ships intended to wipe out opposing fleets and any defenses along with structure of interest (like that capital ship yard building something). -The second fleet is for mopping up. One capital colonization ship, 5 to 10 siege frigs and about 10 LRM frigates (maybe some assault frigates). You mov
Apparently i changed the default user name and password at some point. This means i need to do a "hard reset" and set up my modem again. That means that my friend is going to try connecting directly to his modem with a really long cord first. If this game didn't kick ass i'd have put it in a small hole in the snow and burned it in a pool of gasoline.
In one small random map i found 2. 10% faster antimatter recharge rate and -30% antimatter usage when phase jumping.
Still working on it, need to dig up my login info to access my router settings/info.
Damn, my modem is a router. /me beats head on keyboard. I find it odd that Sins is the only game where this has ever come up. Time to do some studying. Thanks the_Monk.
reading.
Just realized i never tried connecting to other people aside from my friend with the firewall turned off, and it seems i now get "Network Error: Disconnected from server" instead and less often. I believe this is the error me and my friend where getting.
Here is the warning message i get.
Hosting Failure: ICO has detected that most players cannot join your game. This is usually caused by a firewall and/or router configurations. For more information on resolving this issue, please see the SINs FAQ at https://www.sinsofasolarempire.com/
I do not have a router of any kind, and i tried turning off my firewall all together but i still receive the same message. I have created a ICO account and can view the lob
4) The non-colonizeable extractors are capturable (not buildable). The TEC and Advent use their Colony frigates to capture them, I believe, and the Vasari use their scout ship. They can't be destroyed, only captured
I've been wondering how to capture with the Vasari. Wouldn't have thought to

Futurshop.ca has the release date of the game at 04, but i don't think they mean that's when they will get it.
Defending a planet in full 3D would be a night mare, now just imagine 5 ongoing battles like that in a 4x civ. Full 3D battles in HW would have NOTHING on that.
Feb 04 late afternoon EST (-5:00 GMT). 08 is probably when bestbuy will have the game shipped in.
I recall a dev saying that if there is a outcry for hard AI's they will through in a cheating AI difficulty level.
here we are: CLICK ME!! around minute 3 its obivously been steered "up"
wow, that's a lot more Z axis play then i thought the game had. But if the weapon range is only dependent on the x & y axis then the only use for the Z axis is to stack your fleet up like a wall so they all can fire at once. No sneaking around defenses.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KQ9yWrFzk9w Above YouTube video is of a bomber flying around during a battle. It gives the best feel for the Z axis that i am aware of. The Z axis as far as i tell exists to the extent to allow your combat ships room to maneuver and as eye candy (eg, placement of static structures around a planet along the Z axis serves no tactical purpose, it just looks cool). It does not exist like in HW where you have 3 dimensional battles that go as far
EB games in St. John's Newfoundland will have Sins on the 8th.
Why? It's still more expensive to pre-order then get it from some retailer. It was like 30 something on Amazon/Newegg. I paid about 60 here. (With the shipping)
Retailers are being a BIG pain in SD's ass, so they're kissing... well you get the idea. You also get the music and artwork posters in .pdf format for the digital download. If the soundtrack is good, then it's worth the extra $5 to me (and the CE box is priced good IMHO).
i meant 9:00 PM GMT. woops
It would be nice to have earth in there, even if it's a crummy world to colonize. I can imagine epic battles fought over it (even if it's truly unimportant) just because it's earth.
You will receive a e-mail with your cd-key (not really a cd key, but i can't remember the other name for it, you use it to get access to patches and multipalyer). From what I can gather, you then register it through the Stardock Central updating program (might want to download that now) and then you have the option to download it. The download should begin around 9:00 GMT give or take a hour or 2.
Ok, rules are simple. -No actual exchange of money or materials will occur. -This will assume everyone places $5 on their bet. -One bet per person -Whoever is closest to the time the game is released will win the pot. -Times are to be listed GMT, or you will be disqualified (i'm not converting times from a dozen or more time zones) -If 2 or more people pick the same winning time, they will have to duke it out online in Sins to determine a winner. There is no publisher ATM for ALL of europe, and none are even showing a hint of interest. The earliest depends on how well Sins does in the USA and forces these publishers to carry sins. There is NO cd protection what-so-ever. If your currently living on earth, you can play the game. The anti piracy measure involves using "Stardock Central" to register your CD key with so you can download and install patches and play online, you do not need the CD key for single player. <br/
