space ponys is a joke, dont worry about it. You can find them by searching a planet, but they arent always there. It seems to be random and to my knowledge no one has figured out the trick. Achievements dont unlock anything, they are only there to take up space I suppose. I think it'd be cool to have your achievements displayed on an 'ironclad online profile' that would be nice to have. But we dont. The game rocks, but it has its drawbacks :)

Thats good to know, but at the same time this was 2000 credits of bounty So, it'd have to be a decent sized attack to make it go, and to make it go instantly too

This is something I have just noticed in a 1v1 game I am playing against a hard AI. U put bounty on his head and suddenly, the bounty drops to zero leaving me with the highest price on my head. I have never had this happen before and I f ind it very odd and excrutiatingly annoying. Is this a v. 1.05 thing? has it happened to anyone else or is it just some random glitch? oh, and as far as I can tell he isnt being attacked, its a 1v1, so its only him and I and I was the one to get hit with

I agree, a cap only fleet can be great in solo play, but online it will get u killed. However, I could see a capital ship heavy fleet being of use if you got your teammate to build more lesser vessels, and you could combine to kick some butt. I've never done that, but I could see it working out if your teammate was reliable. Never be afraid to have cap ships though :)
I got it in the very first game I played, though I have no idea how.
oddly enough, thats EXACTLY what happened to me I dont even remember what I was doing @ the time lol

Well, xfire just crashed an online Sins match...AGAIN! I asked around and apparently a few ppl have had it happen. I'm assuming xfire will take care of it, and I doubt its an issue with Sins itself. I dont really know, I just wanted to see if anyone knew what was up.
We are losing online players daily, and most of them will never come back.
I agree, which is sad since this game really has ALOT of potential. Online play is currently frustrating, but when a game does work, or even works for a few hours, its a freaking BUTTLOAD of fun. I just wish it was like that all the time every game (which it would be minus ppl dropping and other glitches)

I tend to disagree, I find that multiple cap ships can kick butt later in the game if you can afford to have them. However, I usually play solo and you HAVE to use a different strategy if your playing online. When online its prob better to go with alot of smaller ships rather than a few big ones. The beauty of this game is that there isnt any formula though, just a bunch of choices. :)

I play as TEC as well. Usually I build fleets heavy on cap ships. Although I am not sure if this will remain my stratagy - TEC allows me the resources to build my fleet top heavy fairly easily. I focus on infrastructure, defense and getting resources ASAP. I reaserch trade ports and refineries to squeeze as much out of each planet as possible. But that my stratagy, I have played very little online and cant say if it would work well there.

Amen! its 2am here right now and I just saved my home planet from an enemy siege! Not going to bed yet though, gotta conquer another solar system before sleep......gosh I have become a nerd

My processor is under specs but it runs fine, I just have to turn all my background programs off. It also depends on the size of the map you play. If you only have 512 MB of RAM on your system, dont play a map with 500+ planets of your comp wont handle it.

yea, once I get farther out I have to max out the logistics with trade centers and a broadcast center. Ah well, I suppose limitations are what makes the game a strategy game!
All non homeworld planets can get to 100% (doesnt matter what distance as long as influence has been around for some time)
As much as I wish that were true, I dont believe it is. I think allegiance is capped by how many phase jumps away from the capital the planet is.

I use broadcasting stations alot once I began getting far away from my capital. Planet far out can only have so much allegiance, but havign strong culture helps get them as high as they can go.

I agree with you reguarding the logistics slots - planets have enough of them, and if more were added the game would become too easy. Its a stratagy game, so its supposed to force you to choose a stratagy its not supposed to just give you everything.

Just to see if I got this right- the lowest a planet allegiance can go is 25% unless it has enemy culture? What if your plating a huge map and your capital is like 10 systems away - what happens to the planets way the heck out there? Is it possible for an empire to grow TOO big?

It has alot of info in it, but be careful - sometimes less is more. I am not saying theres anything wrong with it, but you might not want to add too much more info to it or else no one will have the attention span to read it. The reaserch tree has confused me a little but reading this I understand it better, especially since you say exactly what each does. Thanks!
