They are just there to add another level to the game. Not to say they arent useful, but in most MP games they arent worth the investment (personal opinion) Against AI on al arge map, sometimes I indulge late game just out of curiosity.

Perhaps if they had a more robust haul that would make them more viable. Maybe nerf their ship to ship wepons damage to even it out, make them strickly useful againt planets. Not sure if any changes needed though, but it is true they almost never appear in MP games. Maybe when you play as a team you could manage it. Could be a winning stratagy actually. Your teammate covers you while you build a fleet of them, then go wipe everyone out. Fe
Early on I use auto explor, then (if I can) I make a few and send them to the star, wormholes, places like that and let them sit. I always try to keep a few on auto explore throughout the game and sometimes spam like 10 and send them all into enemy territory ahead of my fleet before an attack
its been doing that alot
InfinateVoid - I should point out that the Advent Hanger gives 100 xp and superwepons give 150 xp
does your cap have to be in the grav well of the enemy planet when the super wepon hits?
lol, the stardoc employees do alot for this game. I'malwasy surprised to see how fast they fix things.
Great article. Long though, but worth the read.
ummmm I guess you could just never use it
Has anyone been getting minidumps during solo play? Since the update I cant seem to play for very long before the thing crashes, which is odd since it ran beautifully on my vista PC Anyone else having this issue?
I just played a game against a guy with 3 marza (lvl 6) and a few kodiaks kicked....ass. I couldnt believe how great his fleet was.
good way to put it Kruppe
Ironclad online has been hit or miss these past few days. Try again in a few hours. Last night I had the same issue, went backa nd it worked. Then right now I cant log in. It'll be fixed soon
Having the issue right now
I play as TEC, I love the econ.
I disagree, the economic side is part of what makes this game so deep and involving.
AWESOME! Glad to see this game getting the honors it deserves.
Is anyone else happy with how the game is set up (minus small bugs) and is a bit worried that these expansions could make it TOO complicated, provide too many decisions and COULD overall ruin the experance of the game?
the xfire page is much more conveniant anyway
Hey all, I have heard alto of talka bout 'counters' and 'countering'. I know each ship in Sins has a srength/weakness agaisnt another type (ie: fighters take out bombers) but I cannot find a list or chart depicting all of these strengths/weaknesses. Is there such a list out there? Weather or not there is, what are some of the most things you look for at the beginning of the game and what do you do to adjust your flee
Usually once I hit mid game I stop bothering with them, though it always helps to have a balanced fleet so I am sure a few wont hurt.
if it helps any, I'm online right now looking for a game :)
I would like to see a planetary bomber squad, maybe even one or two other types of strike craft but I dont think its NEEDED. The gaem is complciated enough (love it, though) and adding TOO much detail could really take away from the gameplay. Simple if often the best way to go with things.
and there is NO LIMIT to how large you can make things, its just however much your computer can handle. Most higher end computers seem to be capable of 150-ish, at least thats my limit (3.2ghz dual core, 3 gb ram).
Games last hours. A friend and I just finished a 9 hour game with 150 planets. It was lots of fun. You can make games as short as anhour or two if need be, or you and your team can save and continue on another day if the game ends up being too long
even dead asteroids can be set as Home Planets
now thats just mean :-p
