Actually, depending on the tech, visual scans might still be used. Especially if Heat, Energy and Electronic signatures are cloaked or at least screened against sensors. Hence a computerized visual scan might be employed as well looking for patterns and identifying it against a FoF database.

Its a hidden folder, you need to set your folder options to show hidden to see it.

You sir have inspired me, will try and get some planets in sectors that have magnetic storms as well, the nebula would give it flavor, a planet that has an additional effect in space makes an interesting gameplay element.
I still can't replicate this bug. Will continue trying though. None of my testers have encountered it either. Do you have any other mods installed? Are you using any trainers/hacks? Anything at all out of the ordinary?
Can you tell me any more information about it? I've been running it and never encountered this problem. Possibly file corruption on downloading? Any and all information would be helpful since I can't duplicate it even after downloading my mod and running it.

Thats fine, one mod remains balanced, the other makes it easy. I wanted to make capital ships feel like cap ships, without making them the no brainer choice. Oh, and in his latest release, it looks like their prices doubled....so they cost the same 6k. Should be a good change for his mod.
I am looking at increasing the healing abilities. However it needs to be done very carefully so as not to overpower them. 400hp on a Capital isn't a ton, 400hp in a radius for each frigate is much bigger. I was looking at boosting the Dunov's heal, as well as slightly increasing the Repair Swarm and Shield Regen abilities. EDIT: Increased Regen per second on abilties, also increased heal from the Dunov. I am also thinking of changing the speeds on the Capitals as well
What items are viable for Targets? Can you set no specific target and have an item just launch in a direction? I'm not sure, but any response from someone that knows would be great, if I figure it out in the mean time I'll post about it.

Again its mostly a lack of models keeping it down. The rest of it would be pretty simple.
I'll look at the code and see what I can figure out for the Torpedoes. The problem being that they still have to target an entity. The other option is if we can make them strike craft that fly in one direction...then give them an ability similar to that of the ramships. Not sure if its possible to do though...the getting them to only fly straight part. That would be the ideal solution, because then you can shoot them down with fighters and anti-fighter guns. I was having a hell of a time getting all the textures exported, also they use multiple textures for the SCP and that apparently doesn't work well with Sins.
I still think Chaos should be the traditional dark brooding red.
Contact me and give me a link to those models, I'll try my hand at some textures...the prows on the chaos ships are going to be a real pain.
Wonder if there is a way to paint the texture while its wrapped....
Painting mini's I can do, texture work not so well =) I'll keep an eye out.
Oh, and if I recall, there are pictures of the Chaos fighters and bombers in the BFG BBB. Those look really good though. Who is doing all the texturing?
