After Sins of a Dark Age, we put out a number of Sins updates, patches, and a new DLC. I'm also quite active on the Sins Steam forums. But, can't talk about much else.
Thanks for the reply Blair. Let me assure that we the fans are eagerly awaiting your next big thing. [e digicons]:)[/e] Hope we can get some sort of announcement soon. PS: Any hints? pretty please? [e digicons]:p

Hi all, Advance apologies if this topic has been posted before. As a huge fan of Sins, I'm wondering what has Ironclad been up to. There's been a silence after they shutdown Sins of a Dark Age. Is the team working on something that will be announced anytime soon? It's been years. Is the whole team still with Ironclad? What happened after Sins of a Dark Age?
Why do such lists always miss out gems like Rollercoaster Tycoon?
Since you put spoilers. I didn't read what you wrote except for the last paragraph. No offence. But I would have agreed with you nevertheless. Totally addicted to it now. It has everything I hoped for in a BG2 spiritual successor. The only minor negative I found was the camera position is not so great if you are on a hill(or an overpass) as it is too behind your back. The top down view limits your scrolling distance based on the character selected(it is very limited com
OMG..on top of cutting dedicated servers, Modern Warfare 2 costs me 219 dollars(yes the standard edition) where I live. To put it into perspective, Dragon Age Origins(EA/Bioware) is going for 129. Blatant money grab by Activision. Activision is strecthing the limits of what PC gamers are willing to pay for and we as consumers have to send a message. Please do not buy this crap! ANd NO I will NOT pirate this game either. There are more games out there for the PC th
Empire: Total War has a turn based portion to it. The skirmishes alone(for me) wont cut it. Bugs have been patched but I suspect the setting lacks the interest of most people than the pevious games in the series. Something about it lacks a soul even though on paper it looks like a improvement in every aspect. My suggestion, Company of Heroes and Age of Empires 3(Asian Dynasties in particular is very good).
You mean Myth? There is an open source version of that?
The Ur-Quan Masters http://sc2.sourceforge.net/ A Star Control 2 open source port. Very good, high quality. I suggest everyone to try it.
I think it's too early to judge since we know so little about their plans for the new Battle.net. Basically what this means is no offline LAN. Which means Blizzard requires people to log on to Battle.net for multiplayer be it on a LAN or with people in the lobby. It is possible they might use a similar virtual LAN type setup for Battle.net(and online lobby of course).
There's another game called 'Order of War'. It's a WWII WiC lookalike. But not much info is available on how exactly it plays. Published by Square Enix. http://www.orderofwar.com/ I think it was just one the those time's where developers are working on projects rather than unveiling them right then.
Wavering. Still disappointed though.
In no particular order: - Sins of a Solar Empire Entrenchment - Company of Heroes - Dune 2 -Warhammer 40k: Dawn of War - Age of Empires 2
BTW can you guys figure out how to 'expand' your colony? The tutorial said build another marketplace but I can never seems to get the new market place to extend the buildable range of my industries. Any idea?
He said it in the title. Cities XL. It is a MMO like city building game by Monte Cristo(not a name I would attribute with quality titles btw). There is an NDA so I'm not sure how much I can say but so far it's been interesting. The concept of a persistent city is quite cool but I'm still skeptical whether Monte Cristo can pull it off. Still need to get to grasp with certain mechanics before I can come to a conclusion.
Not sure why quotes aren't working for me. But I thought Empire Earth was pretty good. The first one had the best sounding cannons. The second one wasn't really popular with fans of the first one but was still a pretty decent game on its own right. Has one of the most challenging AI in any game. You could probably find EE2 for a bargain now. I got it for free when I bought Spore(yes I got Spore, I don't want to talk about it). Men of War is really good but I wouldn't co

Loved that game, but to me it sorta died. With the impending release of WiC The Complete Pack and Soviet Assault, anyone plan to get back into the game? Soviet Assault planned for a March release(no specific dates yet)
I hear Dawn of War 2 is going to be more based around the squad level, so you might like it. I enjoy Sins Multiplayer a lot...it actually plays a lot slower than Starcraft / Warcraft III. The flipside is games can get kind of longish sometimes. While you do need some speed, it isn't anywhere near as bad as Starcraft.
Oh god no...DoW 2 will require you to micro your squads. You nee
These days, I see more developers/publishers jumping on the special editions bandwagon with exclusive content(either new units/maps or some other small thing). It doesn't drastically change the game experience, but it is still exclusive content nevertheless. This usually makes the standard edition feel like a lesser edition. Do you support such a move? Do you think it depends on whether it
News sites are reporting that Entrenchment will be released on Feb 11th! [e digicons]:\[/e] Really....Nothing over here. According to the report Stardock made a press statement saying this...Besides Beta 2 isn't even out yet... http://news.bigdownload.com/2009/01/27/sins-of-a-solar-empire-entrenchment-gets-final-release-date/ It's alre

Star base build time must be increased. It feels too fast right now. Agree with the range.
Did it happen when you did a last minute bid(what i call on the buzzer bid)?
There was no doubt for me that Sins should be strategy game of the year. But game of the year really surprised me. I think its good encouragement to small developers.
