Nope, all I get when I try to paste an image is a blank, as you will see. As to Embargo, when I've used the ability before, I could have sworn that I saw my income stream go up by mousing over my money, plus I could have sworn that I've seen it visually in the income graphs at the end of a game. But having said that, I suppose I could be wrong. One can certainly look at the enemy's income on those graphs and see when the Sova hits - income spikes down, effect wears off, in

1) The Sova Embargo seems to be buggy. It stole income from the enemy homeworld okay, but the stolen income seemed to vanish, i.e. it didn't go to me. My income rate stayed the same. 2) The enemy Mothership hit my two capships with that "damage propogation" spell (malice?) at what seemed to be a huge range. I checked it on the replay, and the spell hit me from way outsite the tactical radius that shows up when the alt key is held down. Here is the screenshot

I have noticed many little glitches. One today was that a colonizer frigate was set to NOT auto-colonize (it was a dead asteroid, I didn't want to waste the mana because something better was ahead) and it colonized anyway. I think I have a replay - if I can find it will send to devs. Another thing that keeps happening is that queued up orders keep getting lost.

If such a thing is deemed necessary (I'm not saying it is or isn't), a better idea which captures the essence of what you want to do is to simply have the vasari SB initially constructed with an empty weapon slot. After the construction, you get to choose 1 weapon for free - a standard vanilla anti-ship weapon, or an anti-structure weapon. Once you do that, the one you didn't choose is automatically set up as an upgrade.

With 2 civ, 2 mil labs, and your cap factory already in place. There are maps that do things like this and it goes pretty well.
The solution is just what you said - in the maps. In other words, there is no need to change the core game for everyone (I happen to like it the way it is), rather there sim

There is no problem. With any game, whether it is Starcraft, or Sins, if both you and your opponent decide to turtle, then the game can go on indefinately. Entrenchment doesn't add anything new there. If you want the AI to attack you, perhaps you should set it to 1)aggressive, and 2) unfair, and see if that helps anything (it should, I'm guessing). You probably had it set to random, which means there is a chance it got set to defensive. Also, any kind of easy s

I agree, Universe at War: Earth Assault *IS* the most asymmetrical game I am aware of. All 3 factions (especially Novus and Hierarcy) play very differently.
There is a fine line between symmetry and balance... making 1 races sb mobil adds a clear advantage that is not offset by torp cruisers... when adding a major structure such as a star base - there has to be both, the line has been crossed.
As of right now,

I have used the vasari superweapon many times. It doesn't do that much damage to structures that I am aware of. I have not witnessed it killing any structures, although if you have enough of them firing over a short enough period of time, I'm sure it could. It might have been nerfed since you last saw it in action. What it does do, however, is disable structures. Not for a hell of a long time, but it does disable them. In addition, it does damage to enemy

With all this crap about moving SBs vs. non-moving ones, it occurred to me that many people are confusing symmetry with balance. They think that to have balance, you must have direct symmetry. "This race has a moving SB, make the other races having moving SBs. This race has a torp cruiser, make all races have torp cruisers." Otherwise, the game isn't balanced, they think. Incorrect. It means the game isn't symmetrical. Balance and symmetry are two d
I don't understand all this fuss about "if a starbace can't move then an attacking fleet just bypass it". Well if an attacker wants that system they have to deal with your SB. don't they?
Their response might be "screw that system - I'm worried about systems beyond that system!" This is why I thought the argument they were making was really about the phase jump inhibitor. You see, right now there really isn't the ability to create a "hard choke" at this poin
I'm not at either extreme on this, in the since that I think the Vasari are vastly under or OP by the moving starbase. The problem is an unwillingness to accept that one is just going to have to play differantly with each given race, this is the price, and yet also the reward, of having truly unique races. Too many times in the past have we had all too generic "races" in games that could be played equally well with the same tactics. This ex
Very well put. A simple and effective start to this problem of thier starbase would be just to have the anti-structure already equipted. And maybe a reduced build time in an enemy well. Sounds like a start to me.
A variation might be to keep the build time roughly the same, but allow it to be started while in the phase jump, LOL. Would add some tactical decisions, and would allow for not only building the SB quicker, but also having some hit points accumulated on

Ability to grant control over ships, structures, planets, etc. Different from giving, because control can be revoked. One area it could be used is if you receive a big attack in your system, and you have a fleet there to defend. Granting control to your ally of some of the ships would help with micro, allow you to split fleets and have both controlled intelligently, etc.
I frankly am reasonably happy with the phase jump degredation of the current starbases. What I'm concerned about is combat in the local well, not bypassing fleets. Are you arguing for a PJI/PJI improvement in starbases that prevents jumping deeper into an empire?
I wasn't arguing for it (although it may be a fine idea). I was saying that someone else (was it you?) seemed to be arguing for it. But if you now say that you are unconcerned with bypassing fleets,

Not as much interested in the DOME - it's a great idea but I'm not into mods. However, if you actually have players in your RG clan, and they actually play and are reliable about showing up and what not, I'd be interested in that. If you are in an inactive period right now, I'll hold back on checking you out since the point is to actually play the game. But you can always PM me if the clan becomes more active.

25% nerf doesn't sound too bad, especially with the numbers of bombers many people field. Would take you 25% longer to kill a structure, give or take. I can see your point about vasari having to rely on an uber-expensive SB that has to be built in an enemy grav-well, and then upgraded, in order to take out structures. Assuming there is some kind of problem (not saying there isn't or isn't), the solution isn't necessarily to give vasari a torp cruiser, as some suggest.&nbsp

I would like to play online much more. The problem is, its a total crapshoot trying to find random people and random games online, and its just a complete waste of time. So I'm stuck playing against the AI, but I find that boring. I never wanted to be in a clan before. Mostly I figured it was assholes, etc. But lately, I'm starting to think that the only way for me to play with a reliable group of people is to be in a clan. Is this true? My number

What are you saying? Have vasari weapons been nerfed for structures? Including bombers? How bad is the nerf? What about the other factions? Have their weapons also been nerfed for structures? I'm not necessarily against these changes - will have to evaluate them. I'm just asking questions.

The expansion for Sins is currently BETA - so there are no "bugs" in it. You can only call it a bug once it is in a final released version.
