I also noticed that the enemy AI tends to run away, or play cat and mouse with me. This happens even when they outnumber/class me. I think its a problem with the AI and I hope that in the next patch the DEV team deals with this problem. Also does anyone else think that the "Hard" ai is worthless.?

-It would be nice to choose where you started on any given map. -Smarter AI. ( I hate that the enemy AI never attacks, except for the damned pirates) -Stopping the enemy AI from running away from me would also be nice. -re balancing of ship's HP and fire power I think it would be nice if you could make the maps feel more alive. Everything feels so sterile. I'm not sure what you could do but it would be nice to see more background movements, asteroids, comets, and etc.
I agree I think that game is way to slow. Or the ships and structures just take too long to kill. I always have all my settings on fast and even on small maps a single game takes hours. I usually don't mind the length of a game, its just that everything is happening extremely slow. I hope 1.2 fixes some of the game play aspect of the game. Maybe re balancing ship hp would makes things faster. And does anyone hate the cat and mouse AI. ?? I hate chasing enemy ships fro
How about some improved ai. I just played a game were a fleet twice my size kept running away when I confronted them.
I just picked up the game and is it me or is there no story to the game? If there is no story mode than I am a bit disappointed.
