Read entire thread again :) Nobody is talking about changing the game you, me and everyone else love but about expanding it with additional game options and game mode or two which would not change the game you play but would provide an extra option for guys who play online and fancy spending less than entire bloody evening just to finish single round... Upcoming expansion sou

At SP guys above... I do understand your point of view since I play SP too - however, there are some who prefer online MP... And there is nothing wrong with that so you should just respect their point of view too... By the way, I started this thread with quote: "...This of course is completely irrelevant when it comes down to SP since we can save the game X amount of times and eventually bring it to the end..." Meaning, it is concernin
To support what someone else said, a Timer-killer mode where the player who gets the most planets/destroys the most ships/gets the most ressources, or something similiar, in a specific amount of time wins would be great and would get rid of that pesky "I only have 2 hours, I can't begin a game of SoaSE" problem many players face.
Agree 100% Point here is that game does NOT need
Yeah it would... However, I have just started new thread with some game mode ideas so hope there and tell me what you think :) https://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/331672 Moders input would be specially valued!
Hi all, Before reading this post please keep in mind one thing - this is NOT a thread with suggestion how to "redesign" the game but about ideas on how to expand it with number of different game modes - suitable for off line play and most importantly for online MP play... Perhaps thread like this already exist, perhaps stuff suggested here has already been posted by someone else - i don't know - however if this is the
Can't say much about the duration of games.
Hi man :) Thanks for reply! - and yes, Beta will give us the answer for sure... However, I hope you won't mind me asking you one more question... In case online MP becomes considerably longer due to extra juice you are adding to the game via expansion(s) will you be thinking about creating extra game mode or two with different winning conditions which would foc
I agree with Nephilim that game lenght is very important. I am not planning on getting Entrenchment right away...But I will avoid it completely if it adds to the game lenth. I already have an EXTREMLY hard time playing online, which I belive to be ten times funner than against AI.
Quote FTW! Glad I am not the only one... I mean I simply lov
Sure... :) But how about mines and other stuff? And I would really LOVE to hear word from either IC or SD in regards to game length... What are initial tests showing in lets say classic 2v2 - 1 star - 20 planets scenario... Rough average on map like this is about hour and half or there about (at least according to my experience) will we be looking at any difference in regards to this average time? In balanced game where both sides end up with star bases a
On the topic how much does the starbase cost and do you slowly upgrade it spending more?
Good question... :) Also, would all Entrenchment elements be part of the "late game" so to speak or will we be able to use some or most of expansion pack add-ons from the start? But anyway - main question still remains!!! Will Entrenchment make online MP games even longer as they are now??? I fee
Fantastic post but I cant say I agree fully with it... Sins is what it is thanks to its slower pace and depth - there are LOADS of guys who bought the game exactly for this reason and have totally no desire for any rebalancing and / or speed increase of any sort... Hell, at very least half of the community plays SP skirmish only and current mechanics and pace suits them perfectly :) So I never suggested that Sins should be CHANGED however I am suggesting since day one that Sin
Hey! Stay on topic you silly lot :p
I think so too... But this could indeed be double-edged knife hmmm... We will see :)
As most of people here I simply cant wait to get me handiez on it! However, was wandering about something and that is pretty much as per title of this thread... Will Entrenchment make games even longer than they are now!? This of course is completely irrelevant when it comes down to SP since we can save the game X amount of times and eventually bring it to the end - but how about MP!?</
I agree :) Very good suggestion inded!
Only English version is available so far... German and French coming up soon!
In a different community this would have been abused far more than it was, and the devs would have been far slower to correct it.
This is so true... In fact, I am not sure how many of you on this boards are aware of the fact how cool this community is and how fantastic support we are having from publishers and devs... I mean for Hezuz sake we have Stardocks CEO as well as main IC guys here chatting with us on d
Thanks as always! :)
Stupid question - I know... But how do I delete saved games? This goes to SP as well as MP... You see, I have got fair few of them from previous versions which obviously do not work with 1.11 and I want to get rid of them but I can't see any delete button in game neither I can see any "saved games" folder in games directory... As I said it must be simple but could you please save me some time and tell me what to do exactly :) Many thanks in advance!
Great thread and agree with OP fully! Worth a hot fix if you ask me :s
yes please! sooner the better! together with much needed boost of online aspect! yum yum :)
