Yeah, I get stutter but by the time it gets down to those massive fights I've completly lost intrest in the graphics and just dorp em down to low and wage war. I mean honestly, when your fleets that big how many of you are managing the fight at close zoom? I jsut manage it from the point I can see the icons of my ships and let the shit hit the fan. Occasionaly though you got to zoom in for the quality screenshots of pwnage.

Are there pirates??? Cause if there is USE them hardcore. On 3 FFA I find that expanding close to your home planet quickly then setting up defenses and two massive fleets works best. One to protect he other to attack. As long as you're patient and keep a fleet at home all you have to do is wait for the enemy then sen dyour second fleet to their planets to flank them. This is also the only time you should consider forging alliances. I usually don't start an alliance until I have my two main fleet

I htink people are neglecting what is definetly the key to winning for turtlers. PIRATES! I love to turtle, expand, then boom. All my planets have 5 hangers 2 rapair stations and one gauss cannon before I leave them aftetr the first 35 minutes. The key is to use the Pirates as allies, not enemies. Essentially it becomes a 2vs1 match if you continuously pay the pirates. It's won me every 1vs1 game so far at about 4 hours play time.

Yea man, the devs were very conciencious of the fact that not everyone can run a behemoth super computer. I played the game on lowest grahics just to see how it would look and it still looks great. But it wouldn't hurt to get a new video card. I got a radeon x1650 512MB ($50) with a 2.2ghz and I max out all my settings while playing.

I jsut wanted to put this outhere. We need to make this the greatest most expansive 4X RTS space game EVER made. I mean like seriously. Incorporate everything possible. Deep space stations, moons, megaships, dip vic, player chosen defense locals, phase lane shifting would be awesome. Just imagine... we could play this game forever!!!!! hmmm.... this is just a though so take it easy. If you want to have an auto follow feature to another planet because you don't like checking in on your fleet real quick to see their progress what's going to happen when they do follow and another player the same player sends a second fleet to the sun and goes another direction? I like the population cap for large maps being tied to the amount of plantes owned. I think this si acutally a really good idea seeing as he who owns the glaxay should have a little more pwnability then the guy huddled in australia with all his guys in siam building up a massive counterstrike army. :)

Intense civel reaseach and frigate spamming during the first hour, then military research and capital pwnage during end game... for defense I usually have 6 hangers and two repair buildigns. Takes care of almost anything until you can move your fleet back home.
