So do any onf you experience massive FPS drops when there's like 400 ships on the screen? Is it normal? I can play teh small maps on highest details without any problems. But I was playing a huge map today and even on lowest settings my CPU was strugling. Here are my specs and let me know if I should invest in upgrading cause fo thtis game I toally will! AMD 64X2 2.2Ghz ATI Radeon X1650 512Mb 2G RAM 70gig SATA HD (Don't have it RAIDED :( ) So... what to do? New Mob

Of course the ships and structures are all similar, the game uses the research trees to bring out the individuality to the races. Just like other games create wholly unique characters, Sins uses totally different reseach abilities at different phases to make each civilization completly unique. THe difference is there, it's just that you overlooked it beacuse of the elegance behind it. For example with the Vasari I think you can get all your frigates reseaches with only two military reaseach outp
...... AHAHAHAHA, I loled.
Yea, I don't know about you guys, but I basically dominate the small and middle maps with a large basic frigate force and capital ships. I just feel that my time and money is better spent on building a quick stike team to expand and keep my enemies on the defensive rather then wait to research cruisers. I mean, researching them takes foreverm and if you jsut put your resources into civil research you can produce a massive capital/frigate army that is just devastiating. So many ways to play so li
I beat four on normal so far... currently trying 10P FFA on normal but it's not looking soo good.
I have to admit I liek the curent AI system. It adds a different layer of strategy to the one player games that couldn't be done otherwise. I enjoy having two fleets come at them from opposite sides, or have a fleet waiting for them at their retreat point. It just adds more strategic elements. That said though it is deifnietly important that they fix the PJI's to actually slow the enemy down. But other then that I htink it's workable, unless you're paying a 10 player FFA like I've been doing fo
I love that you guys are so in touch with the players, it really means alot. I think what you guys are tackilig for 1.03 is good stuff. You should definetly make the AI capable of surrender. I don't know about making it harder though, cause they seem to do pretty damn well as it is. PJI inhibitors also really need to be tweaked. I would love it if for this patch you guys could improve the UI to include data regarding the affects of shield generators, PJI, and broadcast center
Oh man, now I'm all pumped about unlocking the achievement!
I agree with you 100%! Alternative victory conditions should be available simply because it adds a whole other dimension to the game.
ALright so I've been playing since all of our dreams came true last week and I've got a few question some of you may have figured out. SO you all know when we build structures like the broadcast center and shield generator that there's supposed to be some affect on the system in terms of increasing planetary shields or the spreading of culture. But the game doesn't have a notification feature that lets us know how much work the structure is doing, or if it is stacked with other str
Lets not forget that you can travel to other systems through wormholes!
I hope they put out a full length campaign within the next 6 months. I mean it's totally not necessary, but I have to agree that imersing one self in a great story is alot of fun, especially since the lore in the game has great potential. But other then that I love the style. I'm not planning n playing online until they fix the bugs with patch 1.02, until then I'm content playing countless hours with the AI. Woot woot
I hope to God they don't make the game easier, cause the fun is in the challenge.
Anyone here tried the 108 Planet map 10 Player FFA vs the CPU yet??? I'm wondering how long it'll take to beat that moth@f*ck@ when the 1v1 19 Planet took me 6 hours. I'm hoping it takes like 20 hours!!!!!
I'm glad I saw this before updating!
