Correct me If I'm wrong but was't there an announcement about two weeks ago that a quickfix was coming out for some of the problems caused by 1.03??? They said that is was going to take like a week or something? I know I'm not crazy. Anyone remember this? What heppened with it?
No, mostly 1.03 did nothing at all to fix that problem, although Stardock falsely states that it does. Only very, very minor changes were made to the AI, none of which fixed the running away issue. It is still a large problem, and if people say that it's fixed, then Stardock will not have any reason to fix it. It is not fixed, so don't give them reason to neglect this issue even more than they have by saying it's fixed, please. No offense.
Are you serious? I had an enemy
Every game I have played I ensure rapid expansion and power. Looking at this screen shot the AI is ganging up on the weakest link, which I KNOW it does. Every game I play with AI the AI will take out the weak player first and then fight the harder players. It is very easy to see that you are the weak link at this point in the game.In my games the AI usually focuses on the weakest AI to gain territory easily. I think your right in that they are ganging up on you, but I don't think it has A

I wouldn't mind this addition, but I kinda agree with astatine. This is a nice micromanaging aspect of the game. And while I see that it might interfere with someone running multiple raids on multiple planets it really shouldn't affect single planetray raids. And besides, it would just make the game easier in terms of MP with people selecting to just have AI run the show on their attacks. ONLY if turning it on and off was an option would I like to have it implemented.
I don't know WTF you were expecting with some kind of in depth tactical game, hardcore micromanagement tactics were deliberately removed in order to curb down on the ham fisted action pace of other more RTS game like Company of Heroes.The micromanagement is still there, you just have the option to surrender it to an inferior AI Play high end Vasari if you think the micromanagement is gone
QFT!!! 4FFA 3 TEC Unfair AI vs 1 Vasari Badass = freaking micromanaging c

I agree with OP on the Black Market. The rest was for the most part smaller issues that don't reeeeaally need to be changed anytime soon, and some are even acceptable as they are because it adds variety to game style. I mean the argument about fighters is great, but keep in mind that your counterargument applies to a certain gameplay approach. Whereas the market argument is a global issue that affects everyone. All in all though I agree with most what you said there. It was also nicely organized

I think TarlSS is a TEC lover ;) Just kidding man. Yea it's only been 24 hours but I have no life and am unfortunate enough to live with an economist (slits wrists). We actually got into a great discussion over the basic premise of in game economic markets and what actually works in an RTS system vs a 4X system. It was great because we had to come up wth something that fits in between, which is what I wrote above. In game economics is the greatest factor in strategy and victory, so when a game d

Yea without a doubt I'm a huge fan of the single player but an even bugger fan of MP. But unfortunatly, the new market system amkes it less interesting in both SP and MP to be anything other then TEC. And the MP needs considerable tweeking. But I'm sure the devs will get to it soon enough. Until then I'm perfectly content playing SP with TEC until the next patch. It is a great fucking game.

You need to chill, what's the big deal with having pirates in a map? Does it really detract form you ability to play? Are you that terrible at playing that yu can't tactically avoid a pirate base? Maybe you're not smart enough to realize that pirate bases usually contain precious artifacts that help your empire. See... if you want the advantage of having a pwn artifact that may just change the tide of battle then I guess a pirate base would be something nice to have wouldn't it!?! Or maybe you j

sorry... on the bracket dynamics I had meant for the 300cr 4 100 rs to be in bracket zero (0-3000cr)then 600cr 2 100rs in bracket 1 (3000-7500) etc. Also the increase in resource price and value shouldn't increase by 200 on each bracket. It should be like this. Bracket 1 --> Bracket 2 --> Bracket 3 --> Bracket 4 --> Bracket 5 --> Bracket 6 +300 cr/rs --> 650 cr/rs --> 1000 cr/rs --> 1600 cr/rs --> 2500 cr/rs --> 3500 cr/rs

Ok guys so I know the post is long but most of you will get the jist of it after the fist half. To the devs, please read this and take it into consideration. To the players please read and let the devs know whether or not you think this is a good idea. IF NOT then please for the love of God, point out why so that they know what it is we're thinking here. *Disclaimer at bottom* 1: Impose 10 second static trade period at beginning of games. This gives everyone the oppo

I agree with HuntingX guys. I think we need an urgent hotfix for the new market system. I have a couple of suggestions so that I'm not just critisizing ya. 1: Impose 30 second static trade period at beginning of games. This gives everyone the opportunity to trade fairly at the beginning. - also instead of increasing the market value of traded goods by 1.02's standards just lower it a little to make large player games managable in the amrket without hevly changing the gameplay on

Yea... before patch 1.03 came out I''d have to disagree with OP. None of them were overpowered or better then any other. They were just simply more dynamic and varied. I mean I played Vasari and TEC and utterly pwned bitches, BUT the key was how I arrived there. Now I'm playing the Advent and find their caps insanly amazing. Unfortunatly patch 1.03 has tipped the scales towards the TEC heavily. Especially against uber hard AI. I'm sure they'll fix the market dynamic ad increase resource asteroid
