The End, Kruelgor.
Unless you guys are going to get into fist fights for my amusement, take your political debate to politicalmachine.com's democratic or republican forums. Let's stay on topic.
(Not that I'd shy away from the fistfight. ^_^)
99% of German soldiers were not Nazis. Nazi was a slang word that Churchill gave to the NSDAP. Most german soldiers were not a member of Hitler's political party.
Your point? I elected not to insult all of Germany. I have some very good friends that are German, and it's not quite fair to them to keep connecting the name of their country with the worst atrocities committed in living memory, and so I used the word "Nazi", instead. My sentiment still stands. If the
Irrelevant
I'm sure it is. Quite. Well, my happy thought of the day is that idiots like you have been prophesying Armageddon for, you know, quite some centuries, now, and so far so good. I'm aware of the Bush administration's ultimate goal, but I have no faith they'll pull it off, so I rest easy. I've got to say I'm impressed, though. It's not very often that someone online actually succeeds in offending me. Cookies for you!
I would hardly call Iraq a war. That's no war.
Tell that to the men and women that live in that stinking hellhole, year in and year out. Tell that to the soldiers who lay bleeding to death on foreign sand without having ever met their three-year-old children. Ever come close to giving your life in service to your country? As someone who has, I feel rather compelled to say, "Shut the hell up." Now, wouldn't it be neat if we'd go right back to talki

If you're honestly "very concerned about intrusive copy protections", then don't worry. This game has about the least intrusive protection you could hope for. For details, you should read the first couple pages of the thread that Netriak linked to. If you need to know any more than that, well... I wonder what you're up to. ^_^

Homeworlds will rebel due to culture. I had a game on a crappy random map which had a single chokepoint dividing me from the other half of the system, and the only way I could win (instead of continuing to feed ships into the meatgrinder) was to use the Deliverance Engine to wipe out every world past the roadblock. It worked.

Right click on the cap ship upgrade button, and it'll autocast, just like everything else, and the ship will automatically upgrade. (There's even a tooltip on a loading screen that tells you this. ^_^) Doesn't work for strikecraft, though. I'm afraid you'll have to do that manually.

BACK ON THE SUBJECT... (if anyone cares) If you pause the game, then queue build orders from the planet, then unpause, the ships will all exit different factories, just as if you'd queued up by shift-clicking.

Maybe they subsist by sucking the very SOUL from hapless slaves, accomplished by the merest touch of their clammy, finger-like appendages. Brr!

It's "Effect_DamageOverTimeAura.ogg". It doesn't sound so bad when you just listen to the sound file, but MAN it's loud and invasive, in-game. HISSS.... WHOOOSSHHH.... HISSSS...WHOOOSSHHH... Make it stop! ^_^ And yeah, transferring antimatter is definitely best on autocast.

They eat like flies, by dripping acidic mucus all over their food, waiting for it to dissolve, then sucking up the resulting glop. That's why they're so much fun at parties. As for how they talk, they search the universe for really, really bad voice actors, then apply unspeakable alien tortures to them until they say what's required of them... badly. And now you know. >_>

Yep. Gotta admit, that one's pretty maddening, as well. And you're right, it does play a lot louder than it probably should. The same is true with the Crusader's. It's not only constant, but you can hear it all over the gravity well. I don't think it's worth the headache just for a little AOE damage. ^_^

You guys have GOT to be kidding. LucasArts is second only to Disney in aggressively pursuing copyright infringements. In simpler terms, they're raving dickheads. Not that it should necessarily stop you from releasing your mod, because it isn't going to harm a soul, but if you ask, the answer will be a resounding "no".

I had noticed that when you fire a bunch of missiles at a target just as it's jumping out of the gravwell, the missiles just keep flying out into the void, forever. Guess I should've shared that information, huh?
You have a good ideal there, and it one of the problems with the carriers in this game. That why there are about 4 post out there about using long range carriers and close combat ships. If you what, I can post what I think the "incentives" should be. But the main problem, is that the long range carriers and the close combat ships, can't seem to support each other at any ranges. Which forces you to build a carrier spam fleet. or a balanced close combat fleet.
Bollocks. The
I have a really hard time figuring out if Kruelgor is a long time troll, or just an idiot.I know from my clanmates' experiences that he and his clan are awful at Sins. That's not really a debateable issue. The real question is whether or not he believes any of the crap he spouts out. It's almost comical the number of inconsistencies and contradictions in every post he makes, as well as the shameless bootlicking to anyone connected with Stardock. But is he actually being serious when he says
The siege frigate nerf was totally pointless. The only reason they got nerfed is noobs complaining about them when the AI used them in packs because they had nothing to defend against them. Making them completely useless in multiplayer is not the right answer to that! Easy solution: Reduce their supply cost to 7 or 8 and just let the AI build less of them.Noobs in singleplayer are happy and people can finally use a few of them in multiplayer.
Not exactly fair to call peopl
I just made up the word RT4X 3 years ago to describe the game we were making because it felt so different than anything we'd ever played or heard of before. In that sense it doesn't matter what RTS or 4X really is - RT4X is its own classification and because I made up the word I can put whatever I want into its meaning. If you want a definition just play Sins because RT4X is whatever Sins is.
Best post ever! Boxes. Everything must fit! Sad. Anyway, know that ther
