Are you adding to the number at the top of the entity.manifest file? Just making sure.

http://www.sri-corp.com/mkportal/modules/mediawiki/index.php/Tutorial_V1.1 Here's a link to a tutorial on creating ships, uv mapping, and texturing them.

I don't see anything wrong with it. What I would do is put the original entity files back in then modify one at a time and test them to make sure they work. This is what I normally do; when I even create a new ship I take an entity file that I like and rename and use the mesh I want, make sure it works as default, then edit the entity till it's what I want. Makes problem finding so much easier.

In XSI you have to export it as a .xsi then use the forge tools convert xsi to convert it too a mesh. Follow the tutorial that ZombieRus5 has linked and you will get it. XSI Mod Tool is free, no money to use it.

True you can use that but 3DS Max cost alot of money. I use 3DS Max 2010 myself and love it, but I have to use XSI for conversion and null points (since I can't figure out what nulls are in 3DS Max).

Why not do it like the starbase constructor does it. It will create the mine and the ship will disappear.

edit: haha, well looks like whiskey got to your question also. His is much better at describing, so I deleted mine.

AppData is a hidden file, go to folder options and under the view tab (it may be called something a little different in Vista), and under Hidden files and folders, click on the Show hidden files, folders, or drives. Then click ok. Some mods do require Entrenchment, but not all of them.

In Windows Vista and 7 it is C:\Users\(your name)\AppData\Local\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\Mods-Entrenchment v1.03 (or version you have) for vanilla its \Mods-v1.17 (or version you have) For Windows XP: not sure. AppData will most likely be hidden, you will have to make all files visible.
