you know, Stardock/Ironclad, just how do you get so damn cool? please tell me. i have been trying for 19 years and just can't seem to get it down pat. anyone cool enouch to release this many great, useful patches in such a reletively short amount of time must be pretty cool. so please, fill me in. don't keep your secrets of coolness from me any longer! as for the patch. works great. but you know that. i could have told you that without even playing with it.
I am dedicated to making the core assets of the mod as high-quality as possible. If that means a few extra months before the mod is ready, I believe its worth the wait.
amen. i really, really, really wish that the rest of the gaming industry would freaking think this way. yeah, i'm looking at you Crytek...im looking right at you... by the way, the whole floating body thing....SWEET!!! i cant wait to see little vasari crewman floating about dead in space, lol. fun stuff.
....brad will announce a brand new super-game called "Galactic Politician's Sins in a Solar Society with Impulses resulting in Mod Tools." It will be the game of the century. but seriously, i can't freaking wait. could be anything. i mean, seriously, i bet everyone in Stardock is sitting back with a pack of cold beers watching as all of us try our hardest to guess what it is they are going to say, knowing full-well that NOBODY REALLY KNOWS ANYTHING!!! Stardock, ya'll bunch
looks sweet. both models. once again, your skills at this stuff boggle my mind. seriously, i can't wait to get my hands on this. when do you estimate that this is going to be finished? I came here expecting to see a little seeder, which i got, what i didnt expect was to show up and find a freaking attack cruiser! damn, this is awesome. like ive been sayin' since the beginning, KEEP IT UP!!! by the way, they kind of look like huge, space manta-rays, lol....that shoot lasers and be
they can make it last 4 years
thats a stretch, lol. but i second the notion for the mod tools. that would produce even more cool stuff. but regardless, i think it is settled that everything will be okay. i HIGHLY doubt that they will drop support for the game. Stardock and Ironclad have been absolutely heavenly lately with the patches, and i cant imagine them taking a step towards ignoring us.
I wouldn't worry about it man. from what i have heard, there will be at least one, maybe 2 updates, 1.04 and 1.1 before any expansion. besides, these really are minor. at least there isnt horrible crash problems behind every planet or corner of the galaxy. Sins has been admirably stable since its birth. although i do agree with your statements. i won't deny that. i just trust that good ol' Ironclad will iron out these problems before unleashing an expansion. they, along with sta
your giving me the jitters ManSh00ter. the seeder pod is a brilliant idea. it is very unique to the other races of sins and the option to spam the little bastards and rush a planet with a hundred of them just sounds really, really, really fun! People playing against the Xin will truly have to learn some tactics to defend against such a swarm. It might be cool (if not unbalancing), if you scripted these seeder ships to automatically spread out across the galaxy on their own, conquer
hmmm...lets see...its a game, check....from stardock, check....from the team of galactic civilization, check....who portray politians as bobble heads, check, check, check.....IM GETTING IT!!! Can't wait. and only 20 bucks?? why not!!?? One would be a fool not to go squeeze the slugs out of this little sister.
holy crap. amazing stuff. your first building, i have to admit, is great and lives up to what i expect from what i have come to expect from you. ive been around since the beginning and won't go away. this is as amazing is it was when you released your first ship. great stuff. i just can't wait!
Already done! Can't wait to show you guys
......well can we have them?...pleeeaassss???? oh fine, ill wait..but on a serious note, this next update is going to be freaking awesome, i can't wait. Just mentioning better explosions gives me the goosebumps and the mentioning of new textures just makes things better. oooooooo, man, i cant wait for the next couple patches!!!!
music to my freaking ears. I can not express how amazed i am with you folks. this game turned out to be one hell of an investment for 40 bucks. amazing job. i simply can not wait until these updates come out. Super high rez textures are going to be great. With it, you should also add an option to really really decrese the max unit limit so that battles with these high textures do not get too hefty on the system. But hey, i dont care much. overall, you guys are amazing companies, keep up
*whistles*...wow....another update and another "great job" from me. I love the ships, especially seeing them all together. They just look so damn original and shiny and strange that i love it. Good luck with the sounds. I look forward to another update.
One word, groundcombat. LOL
that would be crazy. imagine having an option of zooming even farther down onto the planet where you can go supreme commander on your enemies ass while your fleet is still fighting up in space. freaking awesome. but it aint gonna happen folks. although that could be stardock and ironclad's next game. "Sins of a Solar and Planetary Empire" lol. Having to choose custom invasion and landing zones, arial support, bombarding enemies on the gro
Uh, yes, yes I have. The most stars I have seen thus far is five, with an obscene number of planets in a non-spherical format, interspersed much like stars would be in a galaxy, and each planet orbited by a small, random number of planetoids, much like planets would be doing around stars.
dude, go into the galaxy forge or into the map creater in game and create a map with a boatload of stars. You can literally have as many as you want (i believe) and as many planets arou
You should try going online and finding a skilled player who would be willing to play wit you and give you ingame tips
Thanks for the offer, but i actually enjoy AI games. I am EXTREMELY slow at Sins (as well as any other RTS) and that doesnt typically go well online. It is just the style i like to play; extremely defensive to a fault until i see the right time and then i strike furiously with everything i have without having to worry about my back. This kind of play i
What say Yee.
Nice Pirate theme there, but i hate pirates so that's not a good start for me and you, lol. Good concept, but Eve's ships are way the hell too detailed to have hundreds on screen at once blowing each other up. But it would be cool, and they are definately imaginative. I rather like the story that Sin's has put together. It is mysterious and full of all sorts of strange stuff that leaves it open to the future. It may not be as deep and detailed as Eve's,
Well, my first game vs the AI with 1.3 was disapointing
Yeah, so was mine. The AI kicked my ass. That is whay i call dissapointing. Destroyed me before i had a good working fleet going. I guess that's what i get for taking a couple days off for some Half Life 2. I got soft.
You can do that. Just click on any allied planet or ship, and you'll see three new buttons appear on the bottom right. They'll let you ask for help attacking or defending, and a button to cancel your last request. In my experience, unlike in most games, your ally WILL listen, too. (Although they often show up to a party a bit late, if timing is important.)
oh....i didnt see that. Well hot damn, thats sweet. I'm going to go play me some Sins no
I think it would just be cool to add a few new buildings, researches and units to keep things spiced up in a couple months. Maybe they can go a little farther and add a new category of unit that is built from a new type of building. If they can, some new diplomacy and AI interaction would be great. As UrzaEnderThrawn said, requesting the AI to attack a faction or help defend a point, etc. would be a very welcome addition to the game. The diplomacy in Space Empires V that is quoted above soun
extra motivation always comes in handy!
that's why were here........and to play with your mod when your done......but mostly motivation....im sure everyone can agree......right? right?? yep.
I thought people generally agreed it was already a bad ship (?) It made the kessel run in less than 12 parsecs.
ha, awesome. i always love a good star wars quote. Plus 15 points for Stardock, and since it is a Han Solo quote, i will add on another 5 points because he is cool.
oh goodie!!! I think i will go play!!! Thanks stardock! Your game has been out for slightly more than a freaking month and your already on patch v1.03. damn good job.
Starcraft has a pretty strong following, even today. As the saying goes, why fix what isn't broken? It's worked for them, and all they're trying to do is recreate the same gameplay experience that their large existing fanbase wants with a more modern game - not a completely new gameplay design.
well i agree with this saying, that you should never fix what isnt broken, but my old windows 95 computer that runs starcraft sure isnt broken but i still upgraded to a crysis kill
I am rather sceptical about the new starcraft. These days, I enjoy RTS's with more depth to them than building a base and spamming a couple hundred zerglings or marines to go entertain my opponants, gameplay wise, not story wise. That is why i enjoy RTS's like Sins or the Total War series, or Supreme Commander. They all have their unique standings. Starcraft 2 is worrying me because, although there is new UI and units and some new strategies and such, there just doesnt seem to be enough to s
Another update and another comment from me, telling you how excited i am that someone is making some new content for this game. Not that i am sick of the old content, but it just sounds awesome and looks freaking awesome. Completely unique. No copying. That is admirable.
