(Personal / DS) Roesh and Henry are once again planetside on Finley 1. Roesh asks Henry as they're on their way to the command tent, "What's wrong? We really don't have time for this." "It seems our presence is causing a disturbance." "How so?" Roesh asks as they enter the tent. "This young lady here requested some supplies to help her ailing family." Henry says, pointing to a female si

(Personal / DS) As construction projects start up all over the system, Roesh decides it's time to head out with his remaining two scout ships and get those research notes for Todd, and maybe some new equipment to get a head start on. He recalls both his scouts to Finley 3 to pick him up and take him to Eras VII to meet up with one of the other fleets in the area. As they complete their jump to the Eras star they're treated to the sight of the remnants
(Personal / DS) Finally planetside Roesh, Henry, Todd, and Tim head over to the tent city hospital where all of the injured were taken. They shake their heads at the quality of care that their people are being given, knowing that back on board their medical facilities are far better, although less spacious. Roesh nudges Henry, "This is definately one of the things that will have to be improved. Let's bring down a bunch of medic
(Personal / DS) Upon arrival to Finley 1, over a secure channel, Roesh calls Henry on the Firebrand (Marza), who immediately responds and appears on screen. "Any communications come in through here just prior to our arrival?" Henry replies, "Not a one, and there's no indication the colony got any encoded messages either. I've been talking with the govenor this whole time trying to work out a deal." "What have
(Personal / DS) Much to the surprise of Captain Rollin, they end up at another star, almost right behind the Mary Read. They begin to open fire again as she powers up to full throttle trying to get away. Still without shields, her flank takes direct hit after direct hit causing her main engines to fail. "Report!" Casey yells. "Engines down, Ma'am, but we have enough momentum to make it to the jump point.

Previous intel plots jump points to the first and fourth celestial bodies. Their target is a Terran class planet that sits closest to the star. The attack group marshals behind the Mary Read, forming at the jump point waiting for all of t

(Personal / DS ) Todd calls a meeting with Casey and their senior staff. Back in the same drab conference room once again, all but one chair is taken. Todd stands up as the room quiets down. "As you all know, the Mary Read is finally finished and she was puttering around the grav well earlier today. We finished her ahead of all expectations so pass along the thanks for the hard work. Casey can tell you all about it later, and just so
Roesh, Founder of the Roesh Free Traders Roesh served along the front lines during the initial Vasari invasion into Trader Space. Like all ship captains, he was accustomed to fighting off pirates and chasing after smugglers, rather then taking on a fully armed and capable battle fleet. However, due to above average frigate piloting skills and a whole lot of luck, he always managed to stay just one step ahea
(Personal / DS) A scout ship drops out of hyperspace and begins to scan the new gravity well they've just entered. "Only a couple blips on the scope, captain." One of the pilots says over the intercom. "OK, hold your position, I'll be there in a second." After a few moments the captain enters the small bridge of the ship. "Where are they?" he asks. "Bearing 319, heading right at us. Vasari signatures recognized, multiple
(Personal / DS) Roughly ten days pass as a steady supply of parts flow into the system and completion of the first battleship grows ever closer as more resources and people are devoted to that task. More and more frigates begin to materialize and become fully operational, and many more just have their outer hulls completed. Roesh, Todd, and Casey all meet in a small conference room. No decorations, no amenities, barely enough light to illuminate
Todd, over the ship's intercom: "Okay people! Last jump until we're in sector 241. Grab some metal and hang on for the ride..." A ball of light begins to appear in front of the cruiser and begins to grow. "Drive fully charged... Jumping in 3... 2... 1..." In a flash, the whole ship becomes entombed in the ball of light that was forming off the bow. Time on the ship seems to stand still for the half minute duration of the jump. Once on the other

Hmmm, this thread was actually helpful. I'm not used to that. Thanks everyone. [e digicons][/e] Was having the no stars or planets spawned/insta-defeat issue while trying out my GF3 created maps. Was saving it in the custom maps a.k.a. wrong folder. Put it in with the game galaxy folder and problem solved. Seems to me that if a map doesn't show up in a list or load up, then it's simply a "wrong folder" / "listing it in some fil
