Covies don't have point defense lasers, and their plasma torps shouldn't be an ability. They were too spammable to be an ability. A MAC makes a good ability, because in the Haloverse it has to charge up for a couple minutes anyways, but Covie weapons don't have this same restriction. They can fire a plasma torp the second the first one detonates. So you'd basicly have to give it no cool-down time, in which case it's more a hassle then anything.

Yeah, I've found the Halo wiki to be extremely accurate. And plus, if you want input, you'll either have to go re-read the books every time you want info, or trust wiki. Because most of us aint gonna re-read the book looking for every tid-bit of info, we'll just wiki it and get a nice convienent article. And in the end, it's a mod. A question with the torpedos, when the fireing ship is destroyed will the torpedo detonate? It's stated that when a Covenant ship is destroyed and a plasma torpedo is en route it will detonate prematurely, or fly off aimlessly till it hits something. I find the second rather hard to believe because of the way plasma torpedo's operate, though.
