Perfect! I'm not sure if you want to update any pages anywhere and make that crazy clear. It wasn't 100% clear when I did it and I only ordered in the hope that was true. Steam FTW :D. HornedBeast

Hello, I just preordered Rebellion and recieved my beta key for Steam (which activated and is downloading now). I was just curious... one assumes that this means my copy of Rebellion (Full and Final) will also work on Steam??? I don't want to have to buy it again just to play on Steam. Can anyone confirm this??? HornedBeast
Yea, this sounds like a radical change. Must finish my game from Beta 1 first... then crack on with the updates from this :) Good work guys!!!! I hope we get more content after Diplomacy... but I hear we arn't?
What a beta... absolutely loving it!!! Can't recommend this enough to people on the fence!
Thankyou for the quick response. I have tried googling, but with no clear success. Also, I do have the beta - just havn't had time to get stuck in yet. Any have a save game with all 3 star bases they can just take a snapshot off? Is that too much to ask? Thank you kindly. HB
Hello. I'm trying to find pictures of the 3 new Star Bases in Entrenchment. Could anyone do me the honour of posting a picture of each please??? Desperate to see what they look like! Cheers, HB
How can you forget Farscape!?! An awesome funny sci-fi series. For awesome Sci-Fi, Battlestar Galactica Remake all the way!!! Really good stuff.
Hi. I've looked around this forum and other places and couldn't see any obvious signs, but I was wondering what the terms of using a single licence of Sins is? I bought my copy online via the store as a simple down (no box). I hear you can use the key on more than one machine? But can only play online with one key at a time? Can someone please give me a specific usage policy please? Thanks in advance HornedBeast
I personally like the "slow burn" feel of this game. Ironclad inluding the saving option in multiplayer makes this entirely possible and enjoyable! This is NOT Dawn of War or CnC, games generally will not be over in 45mins - for that kind of quick pace, you should check out a 'truer' RTS. Treat this game as Civilization with Real-Time combat, something to really get your head into! Make a game take weeks by creating a huge star system and just have a 1 on 1 multiplayer with a good frie

Wonderful. Thank-you very much for the responses! That cleared that right up!
Thank-you very much for your swift and clear reply. How about changes to the user.settings file, Such as how often the game autosaves? I assume those kind of things can differ happily as they're just client side changes??
Hello, I haven't tried this yet, but i was wondering what happened if you activate a Mod on your local machine and go online to play against other human players? Does it automatically turn the Mod off and reset all the setting to default? If the other clients all have the same mods on, do you then all use that Mod? If the other clients do not have the same mod, but they agree to use it, does it automatically get sent to all the players from the host? If anyone
To the OP: Hi dude! Infact, it was me that asked about if out solar system had been done. I think this is a genius idea. I'll happily make a Jupiter texture for you if you need one, just drop me an email and i'll see what I can come up with. I doubt you'd need to do any actual modding (except to change the planet texture if the Forge Map tools wont do that). Small amount of progress has been made on the Trek map I suggested in my other post. Keep me posted on how u get
Or try "Windows Key (The one with the windows logo on it) + R". This brings up the Run Dialog. Then type "cmd" and click "Ok". In the new window, type "tracert ico.stardock.com".
Aha! A simple answer from a developer. Thank-you very much. This sums up everything I was asking. With regards to the guy saying "I agree with all your points, and it's far too easy for someone with no direct coding experience to wonder why it's not automaticly possible to take advantage of two cores." AND "Yah 'dual core support' makes it sound like something developers can toggle on, when the truth is, the entire program has to be written multi-threaded from the ground up":<b
Well... 2ghz Dual-Core isn't all THAT old. Its still not too shabby - but yes, the architecture isn't actually new. I'm not running any AV when I play stuff, and yes, i've checked the affinity. It doesn't use both cores on my AMD at all. Just maxes one out at 100%.
Yo! Im fairly certain its my CPU bottlenecking. I have an overclocked X1950XTX in my rig which should cope with this game absolutely fine. Also, when I pause the game and look around, it runs a smoothe 60FPS - usually indicated that its the physics and unit calculations on the CPU causing the problem. I'm not complaining to the devs at all! When I said choppy, its only down to like 40FPS in intensive fights and things. It was mearly a question asking if puting dual-core support
Just thought i'd slip in a cheeky post here. Im currently developing an AJAX web based GUI for the Sins mod tools. It'll be for editing all the mod files, but in a nice, easy to use interface. With logins for users, so they can login, change their mod, shares attributes with ppl, etc etc. It'll also automatically create a ZIP with all the text versions of the files AND a binary blob thats automatically been made using the conversion tool. I was just wondering if I would be the
Im also running an AMD processor. An X2 3800+ (Which I think is 2.ghz each). No dual core running here, and im running the latest drivers and optimizer. Still nothing :(
Hi. This mainly goes out to the developers really. I understand this game doesn't currently support Dual-Core. If I have a huge fleet, and so do my 4 other friends or AI, my game generally starts getting a little choppy. I also understand that the eagily awaited patch, 1.03, will not have any huge engine improvements or anything. However, I was wondering if there was a ever a posibility that dual-core support might be added to the engine at somepoint, thus speeding up us slow
Yea, I understand. That's kind of what I was trying to get accross, but im not much of a writer im afraid. However, I'll worry about that after I've made the map. Going to use the original map as a trace image, so it should be fairly accurate im hoping :). Screenshots coming soon :). P.S. Oh... and if anyone knows any particular details about any of the planets that might be useful, please let me know. I.E Are any of the planets particularly rich? Any loo
May need to activate some native DLL's. I tried it on .56 last nite and it seemed to run ok. But I didn't try logging on to ICO.
A few other points to make about producing this map (by hand, so I can layout the planet in their correct positions), is: 1. Some of the names of the planets are insanely hard to read from that map!!!! 2. Phase Lanes - I know not of the progression of the TV series and in which order they discover or went to these planets, or how the planets are linked in any way. I guess I would have to just "make-up" the phase lanes as I went along, unless I just connected ALL the planets to
