When i used the 1.1 Version of SOA2 with Reb. 1.51 and got a Minidump after a few minutes of gameplay.

I have a tactical question. How can i counter a Dominion attack in early game with the federation? The Dominion capital ship easily destroyed my Ambassador and 6 Miranda class vessels on its own. Luckily some Borg came by to destroy the dominion ship but were unable to bombard the Planet afterwards :-) Still counting on Borg is maybe not the wisest choice. Thx.

Adding a new tech is quite a lot of work if you want to do it properly. Lets start with the shipyards(e.g. PLANETMODULE_PHASEORBITALCAPITALSHIPFACTORY.entity): Just add the bold part to the file. As you already have a Cap factory when you select quick start it is not working then. If it is supposed to work for quick start as well you have to add this prerequesite to every Capship, too. The best way to understand the mechanism is to look at the existing ones. First, how do you change an ability that targets a single ship to an AoE? For that have a look at the Ability "Cease Fire". It consists of three files: AbilityCeaseFire.entity If you want to use this ability you just have to add this name to the bluebprint of the unit. It determines things like Anitmatter-cost and Cooldown-rate

I want to see some real diplomacy upgrades. Right now an Alliance basically means we cannot attack each other for a few seconds. I want to see real advantages: Trade: Trades don't care about war. They will trade with anyone of any species. You should be able to boost the trade by signing contracts and to lower the trade with embargoes against common enemies. Most games i know handle small lags(If the other PC is not responding in the appropiate time it is basically the same like a internet lag) like the last part you described so its quite possible. Basically i only know Supreme Commander not to freeze(But to slow down for all players. May be you should try small maps with small fleets...
