Got it on release day, beaten it a few times now, it is freaking awesome. I HIGHLY reccomend it, even if you don't have the first Crysis, its just that good. The graphics are amazing, there is some more variety in the aliens you encounter, you get to fight more nanosuit Koreans, you get a couple of new weapon options that are very handy. Still testing it now but custom CVars seem to work in Warhead, so im sure the community will be awash with custom warhead configs soon en

meh nothing too special about the space age either. Its a great idea, its just too repetetative in the gameplay aspect. I have no desire to spend hours making or even searching for that perfect looking whatever. I do however see my 8 year old daughter loving all the early easy parts The DRM makes no sense because if you don't buy the game and make an account you get no access to the customized content everyone has been working on for months and will be working on and
I think it is a bit much, especially if you get it early in game. I just powered one up to level 6 asap and could just eat frigate fleets over twice the size of mine alive. This gave me such an edge by the time HCs entered the picture it was already over. If you see a Maz that is 6+ stay the hell away! KP
sweet mother of god, what a great gift when returning home form work. Freaking out in anticipation. KP
Format and reinstall is my best friend, it should be everyones. Keep everything important backed up and any sign of trouble, I start over, and everything is perfect again. The time it takes me to format and reinstall is normally about the same amount of time I spent fumbling through settings, endlessly restarting, and whatnot. Also set yourself up as an admin and give them disgustingly restricted accounts, anyone who uses limewire should be punished :) a better alternative is Ares if
Here it comes!
Ha! indeed it does :)
as great as it was, it makes the game freeze. I have faith they didn't nerf it, just made it so it will not freeze the game.
Malice changed to fix CPU issues in the late game due to previous implementation of the ability. Malice now accumulates damage on affected targets and then spreads that damage when the buff expires, rather than spreading damage as soon as damage is applied. Its duration, cooldown and AM cost have all been reduced to reflect this. Malice is now target capped as well at 8/16/24 targets.
bout time :) Thanks for the fixes, can't wait til tuesday KP
What a shame. LucasArts games like X-Wing, TIE Fighter, Rebel Assault, Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis are what I cut my teeth on growing up, now I can't remember when I picked up a lucas arts game... well EAW, but I just didn't click with that at all. Do they even make PC games anymore? :P I have a PS2 for college football and basketball, and fighting games. I also just finished stage one of my gaming rig, which ran me about 1000 to get a solid dual core machine featuring 2
i'm still pretty pissed that malice crashes the game during every exciting battle, nothing new though.
amazing is all i can say
You can make a mod that is essentially cheating I suppose, but mostly they are used to tweak the game in one form or another. Most simply rebalance or add fun new things, not just make one uber race of pownage. Yes you can do what you say, but that is really not the point of modding... unless that is what floats your boat, then have fun.
Here's what I think as a single player only type of guy. I have been using the Kol these days, if only because the Akkan is boring combat wise :). With the Kol my goal is to clear and get XP, so scouting is not so much of a factor. There is always an asteroid next to home, you have a pretty good chance of hitting it. If I need to know which jump would be the best I use a Cobalt to take a look. After I have a nice core established I'll send out the scouts. I also go right t
put up the save. more of these examples the better.
Probably 1.1 if they figured out what's causing it and how to tweak it, or they'll likely be releasing the MP Sync hotfix soon but I doubt it will go in with it.
i'm just impatient :) It really is gamebreaking for me, which sucks because I love the game. Just been messing around with random mods and not really playing the game, if its going to mess up whenever an advent fleet with a mothership is encountered, which it has twice now... why bother. Setting it to TEC/Vassa
ok, so they have known about the issue for a while, where be the fix? /twiddles thumbs
Danman is more than likely working on a merger. I did the poormans buy jamming the directories together, and it resulted in a mini dump 3 min in, so I failed. KP
neato, we need more ships to play with :)
Wormholes are always a pain until you control both sides, and for that matter all of the ponts that connect to the two sides. Making an ally of the AI that has the other side is a good idea, but then it may have allys that use it to attack. If you have a weak point attached to a wormhole the AI will use it. The AI also uses wormholes and any neutral space object to mass fleets, so at some point you almost have to dedicate a fleet to hold it until both sides are secure. Wormholes and
Having the problem again. This time I'm TEC but going against Advent, freaking Malice goes of and freeze, grr. Everything was fine until I ran into thier motherships. Seems I need to not use random races, TEC vassari only I guess, sigh.
bleh fourms going crazy for me today, didn't finish my thought.... With one core slammed there may just not be enough CPU to do a proper FRAPS
the game is a CPU hog and for the most part only uses one core (yeah meshes load on the second core, but a lot of good it seems to do). Many of us are having the same issues when the game gets going and the battles get epic.
cool, ty. humor me, if I wanted to say, take out one or more of the names, would that require having to renumber the entire thing? Is there a minimum amount of names you need to give it to choose from? just curious, thanks again.
count me as sad but not bothered. You did great work giving us a mod to play with and build on.
Works great, looks great, very nice indeed. Most impressive.
