That's the problem with a lot of the TEC voices. That's the main reason why I switched to Vasari. I don't understand why some of the voices have to sound so...be it lame, such as the cobalt, or gosh darn annoying. That bigger they are line sound like it came from a cartoon. Why can't they make the voices sound badass like in Starcraft, or at least use a believable military voice.
[e digicons]1*[/

I was thinking that they switch missile animation cause it was less of a CPU workload?.........
They fixed this issue somewhat when they first brought mines into the game. Used to here a audio cue after every mine was built.
I usually keep my carriers separate from the rest of the fleet (as their own flleet) on the outer rim of the well with movement on hold position. Since beta when new ships enter the well to support my fleet, they join the motionless carriers at the edge of the well instead of joining the attacking fleet....anyone else notice this?
They need to fix its flight pattern, and it's ramming the target.
Probably just Steam updating itself. Separate from a game update.
In the SOGE mod they have the moons in the same grav well as the planet. I think the DEVS threw us a bone and were tired of the "gotta have moons" crowd, and just turned some asteroids into moons.....basically the lazy way out. These are just pie in sky and never will happen....But.. A tech to turn moons into a planet fortress were the moon must be defeated before planet. Have moons able to project the planetary shield.... Shouldn't moons be in the same well as the planet?

A corvette base ship with a limited number of launches would work.
Thats actually not a bad idea. Shrink corvettes down to s/c size and make them a third s/c lthat only carriers and s/b's can launch. They couldn't go boom any faster. Btw any wonder why some of us steer clear of any multiplayer?
So I am a huge fan of Sins of a Solar Empire. But after playing each expansion, I keep thinking that I only really want to play the original. The problem is that the game suffers over the concept of "more is more." The game started out complex enough already:4X, three semi-diverse races, three major resources to gather, a tech tree that took hours to complete, RPG manaagement of capital ships, ship abilities, and allegiance/culture. Now we've added starbases t
Any reason highest capital ship no longer designated as your "flagship"?
I actually played a 80 plus planet map against a cruel single ai opponent (no parameters) and with every starbase they reinforced them with aux government. To the point that my six novaliths were useless.
Most new voices in game are kind of juvenile. Hope they keep Sins on a more serious level. The Corvettes slamming into the target is more of a ramming then a firing.. Devs look at SOA2 to see ships arc and fire without ramming. Maybe give Corvettes the mine detect ability? Immune to radar?
Love the game been playing for years. But it seems 80% of tech fall into the same categories regardless of race. buff to antimatter. buff to armor. buff to weapons. There all the same giving them different fancy names just to hide the fact that they do the same thing. How about giving ships original one of a kind techs. Not pie in the sky things that could NOT be done with the existing game engine. My first one:
It is kind of flat. And a little disappointed that both Loyalists and Rebels have the same new capital.
The ideas are great. What confuses me is the Devs took years to balance three sides, now they basically have to start from scratch. Three new totally different races would have been much easier to implement. But its their work....my enjoyment. I guess. I'm having a great game currently against a cruel ai with a 80+ map, I took out their Titan, but cruel is cruel... And I'm still getting used to the ai building superweapons. Plus every well of thei

I'm playing a 1x1 cruel ai game and in my six hour (cause i suck) I am fighting for one planet and cant seem even with my Titan take this planet.
Now that the beta is here...people are going to pre order Rebellion, and then at some point buy Trinity. Not knowing Rebellion contains all Trinity. There will be confusion.....

This is a matter of knowing your audience. Does the devs want Sins to be a quick slugfest? Or the Sins of old, a deep drawn out hours long strategy game? Most mods that have Titans have this pace down very well, in Soa2 you don't get a Soverign until level 8 tech and it's a good old Sins frigate, cruiser, cap battles beforehand. Titans SHOULD be rare, something at least an hour into the game before you see....it was nice to see early in the beta JUST to see it, but don&#
