Deliverance engines shoot "culture" at other planets, it makes the culture spread really really fast, but you can never exceed your maximum allegiance on a planet, for advent 45% with research and the others 35%... on really big maps, that extra 10% does mean that you do get quite e bit more resources than the others. but the map has to be fairly big for it to be significant... You could move your capital planet to a different spot to make it have more planets closer to it, but other th

really... wow.. I'm stupid... sorry...
Are you talking like right off the start? or later in the game? Well, either way, it happens to almost everyone in almost every game. That's what the market is for :P I don't know how I'd play without it... or if those prices are to high you could go for refinerys or what every the vasari equivalent is... I'm not sure how the economics work out in v1.04 but they're definately more profitable than they were in v1.03 due to the black market adjustments.
Is it just me, or does anyone else want to be able to evacuate a planet for a teammate to be able to take? For example, if you take the lone planet that is connecting 2 halves of his trade pathway, or if he's Vasari and you want him to dump a phase stabilizer at that planet so he can help defend you if you're getting hammered? I don't know about anyone else, but I'd really like this option. I'm not sure how it'd work but maybe you could pay a small amount if it's an unupg
I don't think it's been posted yet so... Space Mines, that's really all I want.
Actually the horses to tanks comparison is a bit extreme IMO, Think of it more as mounted cavalry vs. pikemen It's the exact battle between one force and something designed to counter it, the only way the cavalry will win other than sheer numbers and brute force would be to diversify their forces.... trying to kill several of these caps with only strike craft is like trying to ram a mounted cavalry unit straight into a nice wall of pikemen :P At least, that's
hmmm... I actually seen this too. I don't have a screen or replay though. But the computer's ships were about 2 terran planet grav wells out of the planets gravwell. It was really wierd because I remember wondering "WTF are all my strikecraft flying out there for?" So, I scrolled over and found a couple of the CPU ships out there... anyways, I was wondering, If you simple set the ships to all travel with out grouping up shouldn't that solve it? I mean, they're all already outside the g
I was just wondering, in a game with so much movement throughout the galaxy and specific phase lanes and such, shouldn't there be space mines? Something along the lines of a minelaying cruiser or a logistics structure that like takes 2 or 3 slots and places a mine field in th grav well. The mines could be similar to StarCraft spidermines that move a short distance towards an enemy craft and explode on impact doing a small area of heavy damage and possibly disabling emeny weapons
well you can scuttle structures and ships. I think it's alt+D or there's a button in the middle bottom of the screen like right on the bottm it's orangy and long. And, speaking of small efficient empires, a smaller vasari empire using RA could be considered fairly efficient overall... I mean, their upkeep will be brutal but then the don't have to pay for an army so all the money they make is ploughed into research and planet development... I'd say that's a fairly efficient use of resour
Hmmm... I always though they sould only shoot in their own star... serves me right for not testing it out. I guess I'll be placing a pair deliverances on a couple of my planets in my ongoing 5 star game with 6 against me... Anyways, I was just wondering about how the Advent are kinda economy strapped in the late game and there seems to be a consensus that they have weaker ships, which should be the case since they specilize in culture and that sort of stuff. But I was just think that if
wait... the deliverance cannon and the other super weapon can't fire between stars can they?
how does setting up trading partnerships with other factions work to affect the trade income? and if you're allied with another person, like in a 2v2 online game, shouldn't your trade line extenda nd join to theirs since you are trading partners, possibly doubling the length of your trade network early on if you're close to each other at the start?
Oops, I fixed my problem, I forgot to install the 1.02 patch... Silly me... just got the game
Ummm.. I'm a little confused... I've done everything exactly as the installationi guidelines say but when I got to enable the Mod in SoaSE, there is no Mods tab in the Options Menu. I'm not sure what's wrong. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thanks. btw, this mod sounds awesome...
