Simon, Stardock made it pretty clear in several threads that OD 1.9x is not a priority for them. As far as 2.0 goes - no software company will give a release date other than "Soon". I guess we're all stuck with these systray bugs (Vista 64, Skype, Steam, etc.) until further notice.

Progress. DS is now taking only 49% of one of the cores. Still unacceptable performance though. Everything else from OD+ to just dragging windows around is very sluggish. ATI's got some more work to do. Core 2 Duo 2.4 Ghz, ATI Radeon X1950XT 512MB, WinXP SP3, DX9.0c, latest ATI drivers.

Does the BIOS recognize the drive? If not, could be because of the jumper conflict. IDE drives come with jumpers usually pre-installed in either "Master" or "Cable Select" by default. Check to see if other IDE devices (CD ROM for example) are not in conflict by being on the same channel and setting.

I would not recommend vlite/nlite to an average user. You can easily end up removing services that you think you don't need, only to end up with a crippled system. Some of these side-effects won't show up right away, but will reveal themselves when you try to install software that relies on these services or drivers. The worst part is that you can't just plug those things back in, and usually need to create a brand new image and re-install the OS from scratch.

Will give it a test drive tonight. DS was dogging on my XP partition, taking 100% of one of the cores. Hopefully these drivers will be an improvement.
