I've not heard of that one (not that I'm an expert). is usually a good bet.
I've installed Sins 10+ times between my two computers (reformat on both, Windows 7 Beta, 7 RC, 7 release, and also went back to XP and then again to 7 on one). The ridiculously lenient install limits should never get in your way. Btw, have you actually run into a problem, or are you just speculating? If you have a problem, is almost always pretty quick to help.
You can't forget to purchase games like The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past and Star Fox 64 . Also, I highly advise getting Gunstar Heroes . It's a Genesis game my friends introduced me to 10 years ago (I was a Nintendo kid), and I had to buy it the moment it became available for the Virtual Console. It's fairly short, but awesome.
For my games, Impulse usually automatically registers them. I never even see a screen to enter a serial number. I think the complaints I have seen are usually related to "my serial fell out of the box". They're not that common from what I've seen, even though the people who do have them are incredibly vocal about it (and honestly, rightly so). All that said, a quick email to usually fixes things up. I'd trust Gargabee's link t
I'm betting on the guy who killed the entire Greek Pantheon and caused the plagues of legend. And yes, he can die, but he's already done that, what, three times now? Seems like it'd be old hat to him. On a side note: Twilight, you should try playing one of the God of War games. I never bothered until about a month ago, but I finally caved and they're damn good.
I'm writing this without the game in front of me, so forgive me if I use the wrong name for buttons, etc. 3. The offer price is only relevant to resources you put up for sale (NOT the quick sell option). It sets the price that you've put those resources up for, as a percentage of the current market value. Those resources will get sold slowly, and they're only taken if another player buys that resource off of the market. As expected, they go quicker the lower you set
(Seriously though, how can anyone aford those russian girls?! Talk about expensive tastes).
Wait, I'm confused. Are you saying that the Russian girls have expensive tastes or that you have expensive tastes because you buy Russian girls? Just clarifying.
It seems that there's a problem with Sins that mostly shows up in Win7 64-bit (see these threads ). I've run into the problem myself, with very different specs from yours. Most everyone else who's complained about this kind of problem seems to have the 64-bit Windows 7, so I really think it's the culprit. The optimization project that SivCorp mentions may be a solution. Another suggestion is to allow Sins to break past t
I believe there's a mod that already implemented this kind of idea a while ago. Unfortunately, I can't remember which one it was. ... Maybe "Dawn of Victory"? I dunno. So to answer your question: it's definitely possible.
How is it suppose to work ? Build the starbase in an enemy system to bombard the planet ?
Yup.
I think there are less complicated ways to achieve that...
Yeah, unless you hate seige frigates.
I think some of the other "Effects" settings may be more benficial to you. Specifically, on my laptop I always turn off "Show Asteroids", "Show Dust Clouds", "Show Planet Elevators", "Show Planet Rings", "Show Debris", and "Bloom Enabeled". That might help some if the graphics cards are having trouble. Of course, you have some damn good ones so.... If your problems are happening hours into giant games, it may be that you're running into RAM limitations. In addi
1. "I imagine handling old savegames is hard." I don't care about uninformed speculations and the developers certainly don't. If they believe it is not worth the effort, let them decide that themselves. The game crashed, so I'm reporting a crash.
Handling of old saves isn't hard, it simply doesn't make sense. The game would have played out differently, had the patch been implemented. Sometimes, the changes would have been small, but it could be the differ
I thought game length or number of previous pirate raids was supposed to be a bigger influence on the pirate's strength. How long are you into the game during this 20k raid?
Can't you open the files and look? Just make it the same size as the ones there (overlay them, if needed). I don't have Sins on this computer, so I can't answer at the moment. Actually, I feel like the *.playerPictures (or maybe *.PlayerPortraits) might allow you to define the picture sizes. It should be easy enough to look up there. Edit : And don't get impatient if it's only been 2 hours after you posted your question.&nb
A delay after start would do no good. Im talking a delay after a boot...
I meant a delay after the host presses start, allowing any player to abort the start sequence during the countdown. (Also, no changes can be made during the countdown.) This sould accomplish your stated goal because then you would have X seconds to notice "oh, he booted someone" and stop the countdown.
So really, you just want a countdown timer after the host pushes "start game", right? Seems reasonable enough, though I don't know how difficult it would be to implement. I wouldn't think it'd be that hard, but then I've never looked at the code.

They say not to use it if you have less than 3 gigs in your machine. They can't really assume you have that kind of hardware - especially for this game which wa
AFAIK, the problem was not reported in the Beta. However the problem showed up in the RC (release candidate - debatably the second beta, released around July). It is also in the full-blown version of Windows 7. So yes, this problem probably concerns you as well.
[...]I doubt the devs will make any more changes to the game. THey might launch one or two more patches asfter Diplomacy comes out, to fix bugs, but changing the game outright leaves room for new bugs, and they didn't exactly seem too happy about this last patch we been asking for. I think we should focus on finding bugs, rather than making a wish list. The game does work right now, after all.
It's still w
I think that they're fine for the early-to-mid game. From what I've seen, it seems to be the general opinion on the forums that they get way too powerful in late-game situations. Maybe a simple fix like having them scale logarithmically would be sufficient? At least the armor. I do prefer the idea of their fleets getting bigger and/or having some different (capital?) ships added rather than scaling their technology level indefinitely.
I actually want them as player icons in game. If Quinn will post a high res of the TEC guy, I'll probably make a mini-mod for that myself.
I'm in favor of changing the armor type on the assault cruisers. Karma, I don't think you're going to win any arguments by saying "I want to be able to spam as the defense" Also, I understand the argument for making Adjudicators capable of (individual) focus fire, but I still don't like it. Currently, they're fairly distinct from the Orgovs in their method of use, and I like them that way.
