this one issue was enough to make the experience quite sour.
Well, it is why it is called a beta !!! People using the Rebellion beta are not there for have fun but for find bug who can make the experience sour for people who buy the game on the official release day off game... Somehow, beta tester are like these human cobaye used by the drugs industry for test new medicines before release on the market... It is your "quite sour experience" who will help

It is a well know issue... In fact, before the total freeze, it can first happen that you cannot select hardpoint on a ennemy ship, that you cannot select one of your unit, that you cannot move a newly build ship or troop... Think is that with mod, a lot more thing happen in game... once you reach some ingame limit related how much thing was builld/kill, problem begin to arise... some have call it the "300 bug" because it somehow begin to happen after the turn 300... b
- add more fighter per squadron (especially with Vasari, with Advent i believe it was fine) or even better increase the numbers of squadrons. I know the low number of Vasari figthers and their comparative strength was there to make factions unique, but please find another way to achieve this. It's coming tomorrow !!!!! https://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/418857 Tomorrow, we plan to release BETA 1 of Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion so users can see both the graphical update and, more importantly, the new Rebellion and Loyalist factions, Titans, new capital ships and the hundreds of other changes and additions to the Sins of a Solar Empire universe.
Wrll, i use gcc, the open source compiler... a good one but not the best... cannot compare with the top quality commercial compiler who have plenty of option... Any way, recompiling a single thread application with the option automatic parallelization lead at least to around 7% performance increase... it is a little but it is better that nothing... Without any rewrite of the code, AP option mainly use parallelism for the loop... As for performance, there is a other way p
xp : good vista : failure Win7 : good Win8 : a failure to come Win9 : ... well, if we follow the pattern, it will be good... Like Vista was somehow the beta of Win7, maybe Win8 is like a beta of a upcoming better OS...
Wowww, so early... need to fast transfer money on pay-pal since it take around 4 working day for money to appear there... As for the video, the really awesome thing is the zoom... yes, i know, it is there from the beginning but it is a pleasure to have a smooth zoom from the galactic level to the smallest detail... Retexture work !!! Hope that it is not again a switch between two texture channel else modders will kill you !!!
Have pick OS X but have wish to choose Linux ( who is not listed )
Now that i see the Major Stress post, i have one question for Manick... what version of sins do you play... Vanilla, Entrenchment, or Diplomacy... If it is one of the first two, it is a good idea to use the TSOP mod... it smooth the game... with diplomacy, it is not so much needed since several of the TSOP fix along with some Stardock optimization was included in one of the last few patch... so, be sure that your have a updated version of sins/ent/dip... As for the so called 2
