I remember back in entrenchment the AI would attack frequently, it was very aggressive throwing itself at my starbases with mixed success. Now it dosent seem to attack at all unless it thinks it can win. It just sits there with its titan and massive fleet in the closest gravity well and does nothing. I guess this is smarter behavior on its part but it makes for far more boring games . I fight the highest AI difficulty, i cant remember if its vicious aggress

I remember being able to do this and they would send a massive fleet of ships to wherever i told them to, was this nerfed? I can only give them ~6k now and the fleet is tiny. I also remember their individual ships being able to 1v1 my capitols but im glad thats been fixed.
Im assuming its the vasari rebel titan. Pull your entire fleet back and take it on using only capitol ships and your own titan if you have one, or wait for it to attack a starbase. The more ships surrounding it the more it heals when it uses its ability. I dont think the ability works on caps/titans though so it wont be able to heal without any small ships to leech health from.
If this is done it must be so the pirate bases cannot be targeted by super weapons otherwise the AI will sit and bomb the pirate base continually and since it wont be lost the AI will never use its SW's on the human player. Or make it so they AI will not target the pirate base at all with SW's.
[quote who="Twilight_Storm" reply="75" id="3182259"]I used to think it was nanites myself, but this PJI thibg is actually sounding pretty good. Maybe the PJIs function was to make a stable portal into phase space so the race that made them could permanently hide there, and re-activating them brought this race out after they had ??????????? years to upgrade their technology undisturbed. Or maybe there is something native to phase space that was brought out by th
[e digicons] Sivuskras Ruiner aka vasari minelaying ship. That is all.
There might actually be a problem specifically with the hard AI. I have played a few games vs the hard AI as i thought that was the most difficult AI available without giving it money cheats but it was a complete pushover. Unfair AI which is one level up is far more potent. I played a game with my friend vs 2 unfair AI's and after an hour of nothingness one came out of nowhere and absolutely annihilated him, i dont know if anyone else ever saw that babylon 5 movi
The enemy is probably from another dimension or something like that, at least thats how i interpreted the sins intro movie. Some vasari experimental teleport lab flicks a switch, blows up, then you see a kortul on the run followed by what looks like a diagram of the vasari moving from planet to planet with each planet falling dark as the unknown enemy arrives a short time after the vasari remnants leave, indicated by the planet turning red in the diagram. Its defiantly something to do
Sins slows down significantly with my i7, how will it cope with all this new stuff without multicore support? Even partial multicore support may help.
With a fully upgraded vasari SB thats 4 armor/health upgrade slots and now 3 weapon slots. Leaving 1 slot for either the deflector shield or the vortex ability. Whats better? Ive always used the deflector shield as im not sure the vortex actually heals all that much, in beta 2.5 it looked like it healed like 25hp per debris piece which isnt much, i just got the figure from watching it suck up pieces of debris and looking at its health so i could be wrong. What do you gu
It shows a transport lab exploding and he says "We dont know who they are.... we dont know where they came from" etc. He sounds very familiar, a lot like the main character in the 1997 PS1 game G-Police. Anyone else played G-police and think they sound the same? Is it the same person?
Amen, ive only played a few games against the AI, but they are rather weak with regards to firepower.
I think i did when i loaded up a game, i set the orange medium random ai to hard by clicking the shevron button, i think its called a shevron anyways. Does that actually work? The orange AI did a little better but ended up in a stalemate with the medium green AI.
[quote]You assume an online ranking system is desireable. I don't agree with that at all. I highly doubt there will be a ranking system any time soon. It certainly won't be with my blessing anyway. Not unless said games are purely optional. As someone who has played a lot of such games, ranking systems tend to ruin the online experience as it becomes just about using whatever is the path of least resistance to victory. Getting the win becomes the "fun" element rather than playing the
Hey, ive never played this game but it looks very interesting and fun, so interesting that ive ordered it in from the US because i cant buy it here in the UK. Ive read the story on all 3 of the races and i must say the vasari story sounds very interesting indeed, what the heck is the "unknown enemy"?? Some kind of machines or something they created? A biological thing like the zerg? Whatever it is its following them, and after 10,000 years of being followed they still dont know what wiped
