Quoting boshimi336, reply 3777I may be a bit confused here. I do not think you can train titan crew levels ... ? I also do not know if the AI can use the 'spawned titans' correctly or not. The AI can use Titans spawned via ability without issue.
Good to know. [e digicons]:D[/e]
So basically, what you are telling me is that faster game speeds affect performance not because more iterations are done, but because players are able to have more stuff while playing on faster game speed....
That's not what I'm saying at all. I am saying that faster game speeds increase the iterations and processes that are loaded onto the CPU, therefore inducing 'CPU-caused-LAG' into the game. Ever
Quoting boshimi336, reply 3776Correct but if a spawned titan reaches level 7, and your 'real' titan only reached level 4 and dies ... it comes back as level 7. This was my understanding at least with the early implementations of the game upon release. I hope not but ships level a lot more slowly in SotYR and faction dependent can be only trained to level 3-4. I think I can accept a new capital ship of a faction wit
Quoting Jafo, reply 8it's my first generation i7 that makes FSX suffer It'd probably be no different with an i5. At equal clock speeds, all the i7 generally gives you is HT and (on some models) more L3 cache. Neither really matters for games. Ironically, HT can actually reduce performance in lightly multi-threaded applications if the threads get assigned unevenly due to Windows being dumb.
You do realize that at faster game speed, faster ship speed, all of these things means that more movement orders are calculated quicker? Things are finding themselves in range of abilities and out of range of abilities faster than at normal or slower speeds? Simply the calculations per second of ship movement (especially fighter movement) as well as calculations for targets etc due to faster ship movement alone increases CPU load? At faster game speeds trade ships and fighters tend to be more
Quoting Lavo_2, reply 3771Titans spawned via ability always spawn at level 1. Do spawned ships (titans in this case) count against the faction fleet logistics total? It is possible to spawn persistant ships that consume resources vice AM that in every other respect are as cost effective as the shiptype factory. Provided spawed ships also used fleet logistics it suggests a simple workaround to having multiple titan ships at least

Something to consider about Titans is that I do not believe they use anti-matter to build strike-craft. I was reminded of this by Seleucia's reply in another thread: https://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/438309/page/1/#3296134 Not

Here are the wide range of planet types, sizes, planetary abilities, as well as a rather large list of planetary bonuses that can be discovered from the DS mod team. I believe Stant 123 updated them recently. I say stuff a 'ton' of planetary bonuses into the B5 mod so you never know which one you're going to get. Have LAN games on slow settings that routinely last 25+ hrs on max settings without issue.
Like I said, in game it is a pain and sometimes it doesn't work. However, before starting a new game make sure the below circled settings are unchecked. (Ignore the Battle Star Galactica HUD ... it's from the Sins of the Fallen mod.)

YOU CAN UNPIN THINGS???? Caps lock to illustrate my insane happiness at hearing this! That
