As long as I can buy a hornet and its insurance for no real-money investment other than the initial game price, I'm happy. I'm a slow, inefficient player; everyone else will be in infinity-class carriers by the time I get the hornet, whether they fork over real money or no. Some games do make you jump through hoops to get higher tier gear they want you to pay for; from what I understand, Chris Roberts does not want that. When I am rich an

I've been keeping an eye on this as the creator of 'Limit Theory' has been active over at the Infinity: Quest for Earth forums quite a bit (another freelancer/elite-ish game that is based on procedural generation. They're going to be starting a kickstarter of their own around February). Not sure if I'm entirely interested in a single player style game as I currently have X3: Terran Conflict I'm still running through. Though it looks like it WILL

You also can play single player by yourself on your own machine ... that has been stated multiple times in interviews with Chris and on the forums. You can play single player entirely without ever touching online and still get the freelancer experience. You can even join a server that is only hosted by the people you want (such as you and your friends decide to have your own universe). When you finish the Squadron 42 missions you go forth into the Star Citizen world either as single player or

You guys should really consider making planet bonuses positive instead of negative to give people an incentive to spend the resources to explore their worlds. If its a crapshoot nobody's going to bother to try.
<

Can there be race specific Artifacts in Rebellion ... or Trinity? Better yet, can there be artifacts that have an 'either/or' aspect if you are one race or another?
I remember the episode, Dwight Schultz played an EA veteran who had been snacked upon by the "Soldier of Darkness" during the Minbari war - "The walls, the walls ... they're coming through the walls!". I can't help but think though that such an artifact should provide a positive bonus for a Shadow player - it was one of their agents returning back to Za'ha'dum. Sadly though artifacts cannot provide race-dependant bo

P2W is NOT what this game is. The very definition of P2W is paying for an in-game item that no one else can have (such as a unique ship) that affects game balance such as combat for an example. Star Citizen does not have any of this. You can earn everything in Star Citizen IN GAME WITHOUT PAYING any $$$. People are complaining about 'users getting things first' and I think it is an absolutely bogus assertion that it will unbalance th

If this comes about and you remember, hit me up on the forums or via PM. I'm rocking that processor right now and can help you out if you want. If it's the i7 though ... I dunno man. For a planetary ability ... I forget which episode it is (at work and can't look it up) but there was a 100+ year old ship with two cryo-frozen people onboard that apparently there was a 'ghost' lifeform killer that was picked up from a nearby planet ... ? Any chance you could get that 'life form killer' as a planetary bonus? Kind of like you're digging around a planet looking for artifacts and suddenly you uncover a horrible secret. [e digicons]
I wonder if I can get the fan to run full speed all the time, or at least kick in higher revs more often.
Your motherboard might have options for this, otherwise there are some programs that are out there that can help control the speeds and at what CPU temps the fan will kick in at whichever RPM you want. 37-38 sounds much better. :-)

An easy way to apply thermal paste is to do the x pattern and then use a plastic sandwich bag. Put your finger on the inside and keeping the bag between your finger and the paste spread it around until you've got a nice even distribution and a slight gap between the edge of the paste and the cpu edge (it usually won't kill anything if you're at the edge). I have a newer processor, I used to have a Pentium D 3.2ghz that ran each core at about 45°C idle, a
