I noticed this same effect when the game was installed on my rather old laptop (4 years old)... Same settings between my laptop and my main computer but the planets were rendered differently. my best bet is that it may have something to do with the graphics card and or gfx drivers not being able to render the planet properly. On another note... whenever any of the auto savegame's are loaded it loads with the same condition as stated above... Computer A/b Specs Identical configurations: Windows Vista 4 gig Ram Pentium E6850 Nvidia Geforce 8800GTX all current drivers onboard audio both cases Computers have been linked via wireless network and wired with same results. Computers have also been directly connected via crossover cable with same results also. (Router is not the issue here)<b
Ok... so me and my brother were playing a multiplayer map Quickstrike via LAN on two different computers running version 1.03. We both were playing against each other but for fun at the start we allied ship vision, cease fire, and planet vision built a quick army of 12 light frigates and 1 capitol ship each then decided to raid the local pirate base... It was cool watching my army and his kick some pirate butt when we noticed something strange... He said, "aw man
