I stopped playing cause of stinking mini dump mostly. Anyway i think this is going to happen: there will be no 1.1 patch. simply cause there is no reason to serve a tiny online community like this. Its not economical.

Yeah we all know that blizzard is ripping of stuff massively. But its not the the quality of the parts that count, its the final product, the feel you get playing the game etc. Everyone is ripping of somewhere. Most things have been done and are not new. Dawn of War Raptor marines are not innovative, they are taken from the Warhammer 40k universe ( on which the game is based on anyway ) and i can tell you, these guys rip off ALOT of stuff. Most things in this world are not unique.

Starcraft will wipe the floor. The sales will be massive, once again. A alot of sins people will just migrate to starcraft, so will alot of other people from game like dawn of war etc. They all will enjoy the great game created by the current number one in games development aka Blizzard. SINS could do it for me for one MAJOR REASON: Game Crashes. No matter what you will say, a game that crashes like this, a game designed for LONG multiplayer games where player investing hours to play.
A fleet of comparable size filled with counter units will do... just look at the damage types. Bring in enough anti heavy to destroy the repair cruisers, i would use a big bunch of disciples or cobalts, both upgraded with the special abilites. And the rest heavy cruiser combined with support ships ( hoshiskos, iconus, subverters ). That will do. Send the light frigates to hunt down the repair cruisers. Drain antimatter or disable reator will deal with them so they cant do anymore heal
A straight LRM rush, that really focuses on rushing instead of expanding can be countered with scouts.
Someone said something about charged missles and the sunsurak sentinel(vasari flak)? If i remember right the charged missle ability is a upgrade right that makes missles damage multiple targets at once. If this upgrade works for the sunsurak missles its really a problem. That should be removed from the game. The flaks of the other races are way weaker compared to that.
Yeah fighters are the best counter against bombers. No need to focus on carrier caps. Go for caps that have anti fighter abilities and get ( if you playing advent ) guardians to protect your caps against the ff. Of course there is a point where you are going to lose your caps in anyway cause you cant kill all the bombers before they kill your cap. Its like having a 100 lrm FF on your cap... no chance of escape. Another way would be to build plenty of light frigates and then send them af
against vasari i would trow in a bunch of discples if he starts using the subverters. Match the subverters 1:1(just a guess, maybe up to 2:1, there cheap) with disciples and the anti matter absorb should do the trick.
guardian repel ability really only makes sense in combination with a strikecraft heavy fleet. Its for keeping your carriers from dying. If you rely mostly on illumns and hcs then use the shield ability as usual. As a addition use subjugators.
its called emotional and the post title reflects my frustration when it actually happend. It made me retreat from a battle! Cause i didnt disable the radiance which in turn fired its combust antimatter onto my cap. Complete change of battle cause of this silly autocast!

Just played advent and uses the relevation battlecruiser. Its nice to disable enemy cap, but... annoying thing first: the cap level up to 2nd level. You select the remote recon skill and what happens. Yeah guess.. ITS ON AUTOCAST and its casting on some random unexplored planet. WFT?!?! I WANT TO SELECT THE TARGET !! Turn that damn autocast off by default, at least on that skill. most stupidest thing: Reverie, nice skill disables ships, but WTF the cap prioritizes fri

@carbon16. If i get 17 strikecraft suqadrons in a 1v1 (+ other stuff of course, caps illums, disciples, iconus ) then i can get twice as much easily in a 2v2 and even more in a 4v4.
dont be ridiculous, of course i never use strikecraft alone. btw: strikecraft = bomber or fighters. What are you guys talking about. Bombers do kill caps, that what they are made for, besides killing heavy and buldings. Whats with this pikemen and cavalry rubbish. Flak are shit against bombers..fighters are way more efficient.
@ redmaw : "sound like a smart way of dealing with someone having alot of strikecraft" Well that kinda not really the thing you want, how about a adding a ability that scales like this one and let if affect normal ships. Like killing 40 enforcers with two or three caps. I think you should not be able to unhinge a big fleet by just a smart though. Everyone can learn that idea and learn to apply it and in the end the "big fleet" becomes obsolte. I dont want strikecraft
Lemme add : they dont directly die but you could damage massed strike craft heavyly and repetion would kill em off, its just that the effect scales. example: avdvent strike craft squad = 7 units. lets say telekinetic push does 20 damage per unit. 7x20 damage. tec have less fighters in the squad and vsarai even less. thus they are less effected. I could be wrong here and the damage is actually just 20 per squad and then spread out evenly to the units but i really don't kno

I had 25 strike craft squads in smaller games, mostly bombers. Combined with illums and iconus. Say you send them all to attack a desolator with disable strikecraft. The opponent times it right and can acutally disable 25 squads for 15 sec at the same time/ or long on higher levels
@ therlum. you sure about the times? If the recharge rate is slow than the cooldown then this nerf only has effect if you research enhanced antimatter regen. enough. It's there first user request balance attempt. Give em some slack ;)
I am a pirate, and i feel bad about it. I recently started to buy all the games i like playing. It just doesnt make sense not to pay for games. You cut off you own legs basically ,give the developers money so they can make better games. Games, especially on consoles gotten really pricy in the last year. I hope that doesnt contine. I am referring to the AOE effect like lockdown(disable strikecraft guns), magnetism ( strikecraft are attracted to the target of the ability and crash into it) and telekinetik push ( strikecraft are slowed down and damaged, ?and pushed away?) heya. my 5 cents about (tech2)lrm and carriers: *The slow speed of the lrms will mainly protect caps from beeing ganked. Think i am right here. *The slow speed also effect the expansion in the beginning of the game, cause you have to wait a bit longer for them to reach their target. Yeah sounds reasonaly cause usually i attacked TEC players in their build up stage doing tradeports and stuff. Just rushed with disciples and after a tactical retreat i added eather drone hosts with bombers or illus to the mix.
