Would it be considered "spamming" if you're just creating a certain number of said counter to counter your opponent's spam? I would think that the term "spamming" implies blindly making a ship over and over again with no real strategic thought behind it. But what do I know anyway; maybe I'm just splitting hairs on the subject. hahaha
only the highest amont of bounty should remain when the pirates launch.
The only problem I see with this is say (extreme example) two players go in a bidding war and the end results are 10,000 cr to 10,250 cr. Suddenly the winning player is out 10,250 cr while the loser gets back 10,000 cr... And remember, bounty doesn't just work for the pirates. You can collect it too (as long as you didn't place

Yeah you kinda' did it in an asshole way. Calling out the player like you did. So he made a game for you difficult in the end, big deal. I mean, I know I wouldn't like to play someone like that, but there could be a more... tactful way to tell everyone about him. A forum post is fine though. "could choose between quitting honorably or carrying on a timewasting charade like a crybaby loser, and if he chose the latter, I'd alert the lobby and forums of his poor b
ToJKa: My favored race is Advent, and i haven't yet found any good reason to not have one level in Meteoroid Control (second level is currently broken AFAIK), Broken how? I've heard this a couple times around the forums but I can't get it straight.
The second level is supposed to up the damage from 500 to 750, but right now it stays at 500.

I won a small map game with culture playing as Advent. Granted I jumped ahead to the star (which was the choke point of the map) and set up several starbases; got a few deliverance engines. That's pretty much all it took. My culture swept through the AI's empire of 4 or 5 planets and ate away at allegiance until they all succumed. :) Of course the game was already decided way before that point and it was me just messing around. But it surely shows there are oth

Favorite choke point: Starbase at planet with a plasma storm behind it. ;) Always funny to see the enemy jump through the starbase with their carrier fleet only to find out their strikecraft are grounded in the next well where my fleet is waiting. hahahahaha

And I must say you did show the two sides of the MP community here. The first two showed a pretty new player getting beat, but he asked questions. I could tell by the second game he worked on the strategy you used for expansion at least. The third game, well... the opposing team started trash talking and making excuses for losing as soon as it started to look bad for them. Oh well....

I think the idea of the cease fire for the mission is so that you can complete the mission (say on the opposite side of the other guy's empire) without losing diplomacy points b/c you have to fight your way across.

Yeah I like that completing the mission sooner gives you an extra benefit. Maybe if the reward for the mission slowly lowers the longer you wait to accept it/complete it? Giving you further incentive to finish it. If you finish it at the last second you get a message like "what took you so long?" hahaha I'd also like to see other mission rewards. Say, some ships from a prospective ally. Or quick jump to trade agreement if you build a starbase with t

I like this idea. Very well thought out. Though I'd think that maybe instead of putting a time limit on when the mission can be accepted, the player should be able to accept the mission at any time as long as there's still time in the mission timer. This way you wouldn't have to babysit the diplomacy window (like the old pirate last-minute bidding). It'd really suck if you missed accepting a mission you were waiting for because you were fighting off an opponent on a mu
