Yeah, the slow click recognition has messed me up many a time when building structures. ;) Though I think I know what he's talking about. Sometimes when I click to buy/sell resources, it double clicks it which means I buy/sell double what I meant to. Could be my mouse button though, and that's not the devs' fault. Or is it.....? I was like.... of course they do, duh.[/quote] I thought that too. That's why I came in here to have a peek. [e digicons][/e]

That looks kinda' phallic wouldn't you say? lol Yeah I like the TEC SB the best... Though the Vasari one had a pretty cool WOW factor the first time I saw a pic of it on here. :) Advent could use some work. it's so... PLAIN! Maybe if it was a bigger ring with four or five of the pylons coming off of that...

Maybe the defense upgrades to the SB's can also add the defenses to strikecraft and torps. Like 1st upgrade gives flak and 2nd one gives torp intercept lasers of some kind which would account for the 1/4 or 1/3 damage reduction.

If you need the extra 10 tac points for defense as Vasari, then the phase stabilizer upgrade to the SB might be worthwhile. Just a thought. :P

I agree with Annatar and the others on that side of this debate. While a starbase is a good addition to planetary defenses, it can't be inpenetrable. What would be the point of playing the game if every planet you own can be buffed up to be completely invincible to any attack? Anti-structure ships that are supported by other attack ships are SUPPOSED to be effective. Anti-structure ships are 1: Prohibitively expensive at least fleet cost wise, and 2: Easily killed

I've had an issue where I would try to move the camera up and to the left, and it'd go the opposite direction (down and to right) I'd zoom out, then zoom back in, and it'd work fine again.

Yeah, only played Vasari once so far with Entrenchment, so I didn't know. But now I think I remember. lol [e digicons]:D[/e]

Well I was using XP as a "timer" in a sense. It keeps going up whether or not the base is in battle. Basically it'd allow the construction of the base, but keeping it offline or whatever for a while. Maybe make different meshes for the starbase and when it goes to the next level, change it to the next one up so you can actually see it being constructed. I have some other ideas for the starbases but I doubt anyone really cares what I think. haha

But the whole point about the lag issues and crashes is that the mines CAN be spammed. So obviously they're not fine the way they are. That and the fact that they are extremely annoying to get rid of.

Okay this is a thought I had. How about using the level system of cap ships for starbases. Now before you go shooting that down saying it's already been thought of just read this. haha Basically, you build the framework of the starbase taking about the amount of time it does now. You can't upgrade anything on it right when you build it. Then the base gradually gains exp until it levels up. Then it gets limited weapons and some more hp. Keep doing th

Along your line of thinking Mazuo, dead asteroids and asteroids should probably be able to hold more mines than the other planets. Having a bunch of mines around a heavily populated planet would be dangerous to the citizens I'm sure. Also, if they changed the Vasari and Advent mines to do something other than damage, it might help some. Say, Vasari mines detonate and slow a ship down and Advent mines reduce damage output for a period of time?

B/C it's a MARZAAAAAAAAAAAA! Ah I remember back when I was a wee lad... My Aunt Marza would come over and pelt me with rocks until I fell over unconscious. Then when I came to she'd kick me below the belt and call me a noob.

Put a hard limit on mines that's for sure. Don't know the number, but I'm sure research and balance tests can set that. Also to limit people spamming them still, make it so that when a planet is taken over, all the mines in the well transfer to the new owner. Nothing worse than actually GIVING your opponent 100+ mines.
