So I've figured out how to make "Gift Fleets and Log/Tact structures" like a map where the AI has an empire of 5 planets with labs, hangars, gauss/beam/missile batteries, trade posts, and a total fleet putting it instantly -6 capitals, -480 overall fleet capacity. Yes, the AI starts with 4 battleships, 1 carrier, 1 colony capital and something resembling a mixed fleet of some size. Now, I need to know how to start the race with certain levels of civ/mil/fleet research completed

Sounds like the SDF-1 ;) super cannon that vaporizes fleets with a single volley. Do you plan to make the super volley draw so much power that the ship is a sitting duck for a short period? This would be very nice for a "Robotech" mod.

No way in hell I am putting Vista on my computer. XP runs everything smooth as hell, Dx9.0c runs games great. If Dx11 is vista/7 (wtf is win7???) only, I won't buy games that aren't made to run on XP/Dx9. If microshaft makes Dx10/11 for XP too, I and many other Vista haters will be quite happy. Maybe M$ should work on vista itself instead of Dx11 and people won't be running like chickens with their heads cut off buying XP Pro to put on their new computers. I went with XP P

Good ideas. "Random On/Off" could be a "global" option above "Player start" to override that.

destroyers are between Frigs and Cruisers. Battlecruisers are between Cruisers and Battleship. There are a couple of "battlecruisers" built at the capital factory. I would like to see more new frigs/cruisers for each race, not just the 5 frigs/cruisers. 3 destroyers added to the 5 frigs and 1 colony ship, 3 "battlecruisers" in addition to the 5 cruisers.

I'm with the DarkKnight on this. It's pretty black and white. If it's not yours and you steal it, you deserve to be punished for it. I've pirated software before -mostly due to lack of demos- but I'm one of the few people who purchased the full legit product if it is something I intend to use. If it wasn't, I deleted it. I can admit that I got nailed for "pirating" software about 10 years ago and the only thing that saved my happy butt was that I had proof of deleting the pirated so

To the OP: good to see software pirates voice their opinion, now go back to your warez site. I am 100% in favor of draconian anti-piracy measures so long as legit customers aren't screwed in the process. hee hee... the VP doesn't care what the CPU is so long as the GPU is nVidia and it's fast as hell. He's quite happy to have AMD and INTEL beating on each other; they'll put out faster CPU's. Just a nice way for nVidia to get a little press and some obscure VP to get a chance to apply for ATI :LOL: I rather miss the old days when if you wanted a bit more ram on your video card you could add standard memory modules to it.
