I would vote for weaker all around say 25 to 50 percent, just because if a ship is boarded they will wreck it before they can upgrade the ships systems. ds

Im not sure how draven sees this mod but if he indulges my whims, the ships for the most part will be as listed on the first page... did you read all of this post? why would there only be 6 cap ships in game? we can change cap limits with ease... anyone can. which cube which sphere? there are a few types. the unicomplex is under development, please re read the rest of the posts in this thread. well I for one am not all trekified so I'm not holding to ST absolutes, I want it to look and feel like it but not let it ruin a mod for a game not meant to be based on ST specifically. but thats my opinion yes the borg will be stronger but not to start off... I think if the player using the borg can survive the first 2-3 hours building them up they deserve to wipe the map up with them. saying that anyone who uses the mod can always mod it themselves to make the borg stronger

I realize your very anxious for a ST mod but did you have to make a post to say it? why not go into any one or all of the mod posts and say it there? so I was trying to see if there was another veiw of the borg scout only to find this and there is already an actual scout ship... so whats the probe for? arg! I found a borg prob online so I'm making a scout ship from it everything else borg is huge! at least in relation to federation ships! the scale in ST it weird why is the FED all small ships? even the darn Romulans have bigger ships! how do they compete? anyways im almost done modeling the scout ship/prob its a lot more challenging than a darn cube! but I had a thought one of the ST movies, I think it had picard in it, anywho it had a shpere ship launching from a cube... maybe us a cube

as far as I know hes going to be helping be hone my texturing skills over the next few weeks when he has time but ill post some shots of models Ive built and the xsi files if you want to look at them closer. Ill also make a cube a sphere and a diamond just to see if my ideas match yours. and ill hunt about to see if there is any sort of borg bases online. expect a few thing to look at by tomorrow. ds

well Im good at most things but I have no clue on particle effects ( i do have some experiments I'm working on ) or texturing ( I'm hoping to remedy this in the next few weeks ) I have made about 15 models in xsi which is the only program I have for 3d graphics and the borg are cool so if you need my very amateurish help just let me know. the biggest problem would be I have no clue what borg ships look like! you would have to show me what you were going for. you should talk to

JUST KIDDING!!!! ok first, no. the name length problem is hard coded I believe I haven't seen any name mods and don't think its possible yet. second, yes. you would have to import the original models into a 3d program alter the scale remap the textures to them and then import them back into the game via a very painful process. third, no ( maybe ). I was just looking at this picture you posted... http://www.personal.psu.edu/zjb105/Stuff/UVTexturemaps.png and If I could even get xsi to generate a uv texture map in one recognizable lump like yours it would help a lot but mine always comes out looking either totally disjointed or in such small chunks you cant do jack with it. grr ds
