Aside from the game - do yourself a favor and back up what you want to keep - then wipe your machine and install Vista from scratch. You're asking for problems running it halfway kinda like it sounds like you are.
NapalmEnema
How about just hitting the pause button after saying "Hey I need to get a drink"
I would uninstall the game and break the DVD for this game breaking oversight. I'm going to smash my monitor so I can't view the website anymore because this is so offensive. How could you Ironclad/Stardock...how...could...you.
OMG this time intensive strategy game takes a long time to play against another player? BREAKING NEWS!!
Well, I know it's "just" me, but the slower, the better. After 30 your reflexes start going and after 35 you just can't quite keep your mind whirling around on too much at once. (I jest, of course.)When I play games of this nature, they must be A.) random. I will never play a static map- I don't want to know what's going to be there in the game I'm about to play! B.) Full of many opponents. While I'll likely NEVER win in my life, I always play against maximum number of hard opponents
I also want to be able to bombard my own planets and shoot homeless people on my planets at the nearest star.
Also if you weren't a noob you'd realize you can get Vista Ultimate for $179. Hardly $800. And you are further disillusioned if you think switching to a laptop and then Linux is going to get you out of the upgrade race. Most laptops last 3-5 years TOPS. And you are saying you are done with computers at this point and a laptop will last forever? LOL Get real. You'll be buying a new desktop before you would be buying a new laptop. And if you think Consoles are not g
...i didn't expect this many responses. It was a long shot on the ps3 question but the only reason why i asked is i'm currently deciding on whether to buy a xbox or ps3 (i'm a long time pc gaming guy). The reason for my switch is simple:1. I'm switching from a desktop to a laptop (whoever believes laptops can be gaming powerhouses are only fooling themselves).2. I'm also going to switch from Windows to Linux (after completing much testing of the various distros). To those who remain fanat
Thanks - what about trade?
Have two or more trading ports in one gravity well. Have two or more culture structures in one gravity well. Do these increase trade and income, and for the second one, does it increase the range culture expands out from one planet? Thanks,
I am forced to only play AI because playing against humans seems to result in crashing just when the game is getting good. Now since 1.04 I'm relegated to playing in my XP partition because I get the mini dump in Vista more frequently than I did pre-1.04.
Well after playing about 10 games, I've come to realize that there are some pretty big flaws in the game.1. Its too slow, and takes way too long to finish a game, and I've only played on small random. I played one multiplayer game, and my opponent disc. after 40 mins. Probably due to pirates.2. In all 10 games, I've fought my "actual" opponent twice. The other times its all been me vs. pirates. When I see them come with like 15+ ships, I usually just quit, becasue its really stupid. From
I already started making wookie noises while playing to get ready for this.
Why does the pink pony have a hold under it's tail? Is it cheating on you with the box? Inquiring minds want to know.
Never a slowdown at any time - level up your computer.
find 2 dollars lying around your house. Get a new mouse with a working scrollwheel. you can try hitting x,c, and z to get around that but I dunno how you function without a working mouse.
As a new player, I'd really encourage you to read the manual, cover to cover. I'm almost certain your question is answered in there, and most people will encourage you to read the manual as well. Good luck and welcome aboard it's a great game.
You know, with patrols you could do things like having a patrol between two planets. While away working on another system your planet is attacked, as it's the next hop for your PATROL they can swing in there and start defending. As for gravity well defense, sure there are counters to patrolling, but it would still add another level of strategy. You could time your jump while they are on the far side of the planet, or hit them when they are near where you enter the well. <b
Ah, the ever clever argue for the sake of arguing.Well played sir, well played. He was arguing for the sake of making sure you understood that, factually, being on patrol would not change the likelihood of you being in the right place at the right time. However, you could get lucky.Ben
And I acceded that point, if you read all my posts above. But at least they would be 'doing something' and moving around still increases your chances of being in the right place at the rig
Return Armada - end tech tree skill of Vasari
I want to run this on my Commador 64, do you have a port to cartridge formatz?
Did you buy this game or are you Jack Sparrow?
Either that, or you can hide behind a wall of kittens and hope he doesn't find you. STOP GIVING AWAY MY WINNING STRATEGIES!! NERF THE GAME SO I DON'T HAVE TO THINK IS MUCH EASIER. THANKS.
No you wouldn't. You're just as likely increasing the chances that you'll be in the wrong place when the enemy fleet shows up.
Ah, the ever clever argue for the sake of arguing. Well played sir, well played.
