i think i know what your talking about. your novalith cannon looses its abbility to be used in anyway if you lose one of your weapons labs. so if you sold one or it was destroyed all of your cannons wont show the icon that lets you fire it Edit bertietheboxer beat me to it

with my complete lack of any moding knowledge this is going to be a pretty bad explination but, ia m going to try anyways. the Kol battleship has 3 forward facing heavy autocannons on its right side next to the hanger. The Battery fires 3 shots that are single slugs that looks about the same color as a photon torpedo. it might be a bit small, not sure if you can fix that.

The largest map i have played on had 3 star systems each with about 100 planets. i played against 9 other computer players. at one point my fleets were involved in4 seperate battles and the game started to slow down alot, so i gave up on it.
