...Well, haven't had any luck yet...tried everything...so...bump. Help please.

Ugh...the dreaded white dots are still there flickering about. T_T
Well I guess I'll try emailing them then, I know it isn't a driver issue because my old graphics card uses the same driver as this one. And resolution I've always had it at my monitor's max resolution (forget what its called...) and never had the problem before...so maybe it is the bad download....well still, if anybody has any other suggestions lemme know. And what the heck, I'll go ahead and hunt down the thread I was talking about and <a href="https://forums.sinsofas
...Well if anyone finds out anything please lemme know, really want to play my game with its settings maxed out...
....Guess not. :(
....Guess the silence means no then...lol.
There was a thread a while back that someone posted about these annoying white dots appearing on the edges of in game objects. I never experienced it until I upgraded a new graphics card (GeForce 9500) and now I have them. I know that the only other way to get rid of them is turning anti-aliasing completely off, but that was the last thing I heard, and...I really want AA on so my game can look good. But then....the dots, ugh. I don't get it, there has to be a way to fix it...I never had the p
I may be wrong, but I think I heard that Stardock may be making a full expansion, containing a campaign/story mode as well as new factions. I'm hoping its true, would be awesome.
Alright, I emailed them....hopefully this will all be fixed. (before Diplomacy comes out, lol)
What do you mean by checking it? I'm not able to install it if that's what you're saying....not sure what's going on, but yeah...not able to reinstall .NET.
I don't know, never had any problems with Impulse until now...I cannot even get the settings to open up....
Can't pull them up right now...but yeah my computer isn't low on specs. At the moment all I can remember right now is the speed is 2.4ghz and 2GB of RAM. And it is difficult to close Impulse, seeing how its still open apparently when you click exit on the toolbar thing. Have to open up Task Manager in order to close it for good....
What is Impulse used for then? Cause I thought it was used for updating the game as well as downloading the micro expansions...And from the looks of it, I don't think I will be able to get Diplomacy. As long as the program is ACTIVE, it hogs the CPU, and slows it down greatly.
....No one hasn't said anything...what's going on? o_0 I cannot even install Impulse now, it sets up but the instalation progress does NOT increase at all and I've been watching it for about 10-15 minutes now....
Thought it was a virus at first with the lagging of my computer, so I decided to bring up the task manager and saw the CPU at 100%, and it was Impulse....Not sure what happened and why its doing this all of the sudden, I closed it and tried opening it back up and it didn't work. (hogged CPU again) Any way to fix this? Should I just try and reinstall it or something?
Oh, first time I've heard that in a forum. lol Thanks.:p
It is under 40kb and is smaller than 100x100. (and .jpg) Like I said it seemed to upload just fine, though it doesn't show up here. EDIT:....Apparently it works now, go figure, lol.
Eh, figured I'll put my avatar up for the heck of it, need to post here often. Anyways i tried uploading it on that "images" section and everything worked fine, but its not showing up on the forums. Tried the personal image and nothing happened, and no clue what the desktop image is for, lol. It uploads fine though, what's going on? (I bet its going to work right when I post, watch, lol)
Never knew about the Empire Tree thing...gotta try that sometime after my computer upgrade. I only used that part for keeping an eye on my capitals anyways.
Well I went ahead and went with my processor/motherboard. I don't have that much money with me anyway, just thought I would try out this trick I heard here about dual cores. I don't expect this game to run perfectly, but it should take care of most of the lag.
Not much of a computer wizard, what's OC? lol I'm still planning going with that motherboard that I posted in my post...so...I dunno, lol.
A while back I posted a thread asking about a way to get rid of this lagging crap. Now I've decided to lurk about this forum and saw some posts about Dual Cores and locking Sins onto one and everything else into the other. I'm thinking about nabbing a Dual Core processor (since I need to upgrade anyway to improve these other two games I have that are having performance issues), so...how does this Core locking thing work? Does it improve performance with Sins? And just for the heck of
Wow that's a mouthfull. xD I'll just go with the simple solution of waiting for now (I don't have much money anyway) and stick to 4 player battles then. Thanks.
Darn...so no other way than that huh? What speed do you recommend? Mine is currently at 2.4 GHz.
Great game, it runs very well at the highest settings....that is, until things get bigger (as in, number of ships and all that). Basically happens on maps with 8 players...Is there any way to reduce lag here besides lowering graphic/video settings? It doesn't help very much...When it starts to lag, little minor glitches start happening like some of ships won't fire and you stop seeing explosions, so on and so forth. And the lag starts getting annoying after a while.
