Finally - Someone saying the same thing as the "pros". They have done some research and this cannot be discounted with the "but a pro will win any battle regardless since they are a pro" argument.... If you have a replay handy, post it. It will help prove this once and for all

I have a Q6600, 8FB Ram, 3870X2 and Vista Ultimate 64. There IS a noticable slow down to MP when the host is using alloy at about the 15 minute mark. The game will hang in MP if a user cannot simulate quickly enough and therefore my machine waits to the sync from the host (or the data from all players if I am the host). I have seen 5X5 games play fine online. The slow down generally seems to come with too many AIs as the game has to process them rathen then just implem
Where???
Keep playing and see what happens. Maybe one of them will leave. Also, unless they surrender, an AI will take over their spot. Not as good as a skilled human, but sometimes better then a newb
Request the AI that takes over to do things, such as attack/defend certain locations on the map
Remember that TEC have upgrades to get the 40 per sec, so they don't get it straight out of the box...
Oh the pain!!!!
That has conitations.... :D
Tyr222 is what he play under, though if his DT tag is up it would be [DT] Tyr222
and nuke half the frigates in orbit?
Shields would protect them, just cause the mines to crap out or something = unphase long enough for a fighter sweep to clear some of them...
No it is NOT desirable - for you mostly... The reasons are: 1) The skilled players want other skilled players to make the games even. You would not be at that level, you have just rigged your stats 2) Once these players realise this, the word will get around that you suck and just comp stomp to boost your games and you won't get to play anymore. So then you are back to creating a new account and starting again. You are much better off taking your licks and learning the
Also the mechanics in the game engine are already there, it would only take a few tweeks to support this ship. (ever build trade ports on a tec starbase?)
I'm not 100% sure that they are actually!!!
Great - Tyr is back :D Now give me karma b!#$%
The radiation might cause the mines to un-phase???
While it might be true (read: almost certainly), you do realize people are going to argue that point?
Probably - and they will just be ignored for failing to understand how the mods work. Mods have to be compatable with the game engine. Then engine has been changed, so the mods needs updating...
Bombers - lots of bombers!!!
On Vista it is something like your local user folder\appdata folder\Ironclad Games\Replays
You mean Dr Gregory House right??? :D
Well in Sins, this explains why you see people with hundreds of victories and almost no defeats. At first I was wondering if they were some kind of Gods - no, they just click "quit".
Only if the total number of games is WAY above the total of won+lost. You have to account for Mini-Dumps for these players. When over 300 games have been played, they will have had the desync issues from 1.05 etc... to contend with... e.g. 350 games played, 220 won and 40 lost. That
that uses a flame-throwing attack
Get serious - you are talking about combat in space. Space is cold. It won't be very effective. And even if it does heat up part of the hull, the rest of it is going to just act as a giant radiator and help vent that heat away... As for the whole idea of super ships and death starts etc... This is Sins. Not Star Wars. Not Star Trek. Not BSG. Not B5 even (it didn't even have shields).... Players really need to THINK about
Yeah - but that is a teams game, not FFA!!!
C# is the way to go. So much easier to read and understand :D
The player needs to SURRENDER not QUIT to prevent an AI taking over!!! But alot of ppl won't do that as they don't want the defeat on their record
At least I found a bug (I think)...
Press enter Press tab to get /a to speak to all allies and again to start cycling though people to whisper to them
