Friends list, the ability to switch from entrench to vanilla games on the fly, host options
It has all of these apart from the ability to switch from Ent to vanilla on the fly...

Uh-oh. That isn't going to help him get up onto the list anytime soon... :D
In my experience the high level players generally don't resume a saved game. They start and end it in one session. If the game ends for a reason - e.g. MD, they generally restart a new game (maybe with same teams depending on if they all come back or not)
Enter the dashes too. Or contact support via email
Online the lag seems far more minimal. However there seems to be a higher chance of a minidump.
That would imply the issue is around the AI as that is not needed for MP (the tactical AI stuff is, but the strategic stuff isn't - not sure how that is interwoven). Come to think of it, sometimes the AI IS needed for MP as it would do better then some people!!!! :D
Torrents won't work in many cases. Contact Stardock for help would be my suggestion!!! Or Microsoft for help with IE
Ahh idlebot. It just isn't the same in the lobby without you....
How come the vasari did not recieve a long range bomber like the tec and advent?
If you are talking about Entrenchment, it is because their SB can move. You build it up out of range and then let it siddle up to the other SB and they slug it out... As for Kodiaks vs Garda - you may want to also look at what kind of damage they do as the damage modifiers vs various armor types alters the actual amount of damage done....
You should also note that a number of the Sins clans will only let people join once they are of a certain skill level and are known to that clan from being involved in games with/against them. The tops ones (DT and [_] in my opinion) are very selective. Others are much more open, but some have formal strucutre rules etc... You could just play the game, read the forums and ask people questions in the lobby.... It has worked for me. I am not currently in a clan, even though I am friends
1.15 if the latest version, not 1.05.... They release patches periodically. Impulse will automatically update only the required files to get you to the correct version.
Also - how do you disable ALLOY? I have never seen it listed as an option.
There is an option once you log into ICO that allows you to turn it on/off and test stuff. I don't know about the othe connection methods as I have never used them....
I love it when the DT guys trash talk each other like this - it is sooo funny. Reading it just brightened my day at work....
This thread is about to devolve into communication by grunts and rudimentary hand gestures.
Your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries!
You just can't keep your mouth shut, can you?
Sure I can - it was closed the whole time I typed that. I use my fingers like a normal person....
Look in your manual the the address the modem will have - it may not be one of the ones listed above. e.g. the two Billion modems I have both are 192.168.1.254
Is that what someone did to you Annatar to make your ass fall off??? Perpetuating the cycle maybe????
Or are to busy working to read EVERY forum thread....
Good to hear - so I'll be seeing you and your brother online I assume???
The CD won't make a difference - there is no DRM on the CD. He should check his spam folder in case if got filtered. Otherwise send an email to to help get himself registered with Impulse.
@Hack78: Where do I find that file? searched for it in the game folder and in appdata but couldn't find it
Depends on if you have Vista or XP. IIRC for me (Vista) it is something like c:\documents and settings\ \localsettings\appdata\ironclad \user.config
The solution is very simple. The host determines which expansion or lack thereof will be in play. If the host is on vanilla, then anyone who joins via the Entrenchment client will be subject to vanilla rules. Why is this so hard to implement? It doesn't even need to be like Dawn of War (that would give Entrenchment players an unfair advantage). If the host does not have the expansion, just limit the rules to those that the host can support.
Which a
Really not hard to get at all. Every time i've wanted one I've been able to find or make one in short oder. The problem is people like you being so impatient that you switcch back to base-Sins in about 3 seconds, when you "can't find" people to play Entrenchment with you.
The larger issue with Sins in general is that people rock up, see no one in the lobby (or only 1 or 2 others) and leave. Then someone else comes along. I have waited 1/2 hour at off peak times for a ga
