I see on the store page that if I buy the Trinity set I'll get access to the beta, but I've already got Entrenchment. I'll buy it now if I can get into the beta, otherwise I'll hold off.
Cooljedidude
I've been playing Sins for quite a while now, and no problems. Suddenly I start a game, and the sound stops working. If someone else had this problem, will you please tell me how you got through it? EDIT: By the way, no other game has this problem.
So I decided to load Sins on my new PC, and the original game works fine, but on Impulse, Entrenchment won't show up. Is this a glitch I can get around or supposed to be this way?
Actually, as per usual, neither of them work. It won't let me delete them, or change them! Ah well, I'll fiddle with it. Thanks for getting me this far. EDIT: I fixed it! *pumps arm* At least, 28 of them work now.
Oh my goodness, I figured it out, at long last! I just kept putting them in the program files spot. Now I just need to update the maps themselves, or get already updated maps. That post certainly doesn't relate to anything. I'm guessing it's someone who just wanted revenge over a personal issue, or someone who's jealous for some reason. Don't pay any attention to him.
This updater says I need version 1.1.6, but I have 1.1.7. How do I un-update in order to use this?
Those are the versions I have, so the updater shouldn't help me, from what I heard. Is that true?
cooljedidude you should NOT have to edit the manifests unless the maps only work in the galaxy folder(which is extremly unlikly), the maps SHOULD be placed in the galaxyforge folder next to mods. assuming you have sins 1.17/entrenchment 1.03, the galaxy forge maps NEED to be placed here for xp C:\Documents and Settings\'user name'\Local Settings\Application Data\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\GalaxyForge o
the maps SHOULD go in the userspace galaxyforge folder which is beside the mods-entrenchment v1.0? folders, NOT the program files galaxy folders. if you place maps in either of the program files galaxy folders then YOU MUST EDIT THE galaxy.manifest in the entrenchment folder which is VERY CaSe SeNsItIvE. harpo
This is something that's been confusing me- I keep hearing that I
Another question- I downloaded a bunch of maps and put them in Enchrenchment's Galaxy folder, but no luck. I keep hearing something about changing the manifest, but I have no idea what this is. Can anyone here explain this to me?
Someone willing to help me out? I downloaded this, but when I tried to put them in my Galaxy folder, nothing happens. I've done searches, and have heard a little bit about what helped others through this, but I couldn't make sence of it. Maybe it would help if I had heard of 'manifest' before, along with a bunch of other jargon. Anyway, I just downloaded Enchrenchment, and am running Vista 32. If this isn't where I'm supposed to save them, where do I?
Well then, I'm figuring I might buy an I7 sometime this summer, and probably upgrade to 4G, maybe more. Thanks to all of you! We're covered all I need to know here.
Well, I guess a Duel core isn't the best thing out there, but I have 2G of ram. I thought that was more then enough.
Hmmm, well I think I've made up my mind anyway. Now I just need to get ahold of my mom's card and somehow make her believe I paid her ten bucks for it.;) I really don't know what settings I'm running at. I think everything is turned all the way up because it normally runs really smooth, and my PC sets the graphics settings at what it thinks best, and it's never been wrong yet. So, I guess I might just stick to the Vanilla version when I feel like a HUGE map, but play Enchrenchment for
After just finishing a 12(inbetween the other 11 of Wow) hour game, I decided I need more of this in my already non-existant life, so buying Entrenchment is a given. However, I did notice that it's claimed to look better, and that's of course a good thing, but one issue- I think my processor is a bit weak for larger games. The above mentioned map had 100+ planets, and the stars were completely frozen after a few minutes of the game, and when I had at least half the possible fleet figh
Actually, that made it work! Thanks a lot! However, one more question takes it's place- I made a dumb map to test, and it works and all, but I found it in the "Small maps" section. I'd rather isolate my uninspired random placement of planets. Is there any way to force it to be in the Galaxy Forge section, or otherwise away from the rest of them?
I'm downloading 3.5, because I didn't see how to update 2. I'm guessing this should work too, and I might as well get it either way.
Vista says I have NET 2 with the opperating system, and I downloaded Winrar, but every time I try to run Galaxy Forge, no luck. I've extracted it, tried making an addons folder in Sins, but whenever I try to open the application part, I get a message saying that it's stopped working and needs to close. Anyone know how to fix this?
Have you installed the NET framework from Microsoft? You need at least 2.0 for the Galaxyforge to work. DANMAN
I tried to install it, but a message says it's part of my operatting system.
you need a shortcut to the exe and the downloaded files is a rar so you need either winrar or 7zip to unpack it. galaxy forge is a map editor/creator for sins harpo
I've already unzipped it, but I can't get any further. Problem is, I just can't open the exe thing. It gives me the standard "has stopp working" deal.
One question for you- I downloaded Galaxy Forge, but now what? I made a new folder in the Sins of a Solar empire folder and put Galaxy Forge into it, thinking that was how it's supposed to be done, as that's how it works for mods in World of Warcraft. However, I don't see where how to access it. I'm running Vista, if you need to know.
