I... dont like the mine layer squadron. I think its a fairly dumb system for laying mines... I'd rather have just an ability that laid mines from the drone hosts. cool idea, fairly dumb implementation imo

good... I'm hungry and have a taste for pears...
I thought the multiplayer crowd were always the ones advocating scouting. if you're jumping into a grav well with your entire fleet and didn't see the SB there.... you deserve to be BRB'd. if you scout and you see a SB there, you can either see if you can find a way to get in there without damage, see if you really do need to go that way and not some easier way, trickle through your forces, send decoy fleets with dominas held back... You might not have your hand on the button, but
Yeah, I mentioned Rebellion months ago when this thread was being discussed. I thought that there might be a way to implement troops in Sins, due to the fact that SW:Rebellion pulled it off without having actual in-game units... they were 'cards' in a way, but there was alot of those types of things in that game and there's none in Sins. not to mention that bombing and allegiance would have to be drastically altered if you wanted to make it worth the while... It could be p
ah, so if the adjudicator has 4 targets in range of 1 bank, the total damage it deals is 70*4 targets = 280?
Hey, I just happened apon this thread... Volt I've often wondered how the multi-target/multi-bank weapons work exactly... For instance, what you mentioned above about the Adjudicator: I'm not sure if you're taking the 70 damage and diving it by the targets per bank or the cooldown to get to the dps per target or if you would need to divide by 16 to do that... or is 'targets per bank' a maximum number? if there's only 1 target in range of 1 bank.... how much dam

Regarding the TEC Starbase buff: My theory is that for some things, the Devs decide to over-buff so that they can sort out what's needed and what is not better. This is one of those things. Now the loyalists can play alot more defensively than they could before, which helps the Devs balance the game along those lines and see how such actions affect the Rebels, for instance. Remember, a lot can be done to change this so that it plays better, if it does turn out to be too much. One

... that's not what this thread was about...
I know... That's what I've been saying for a long time. Yes, it has some fairly predictable faults, but there are some truely great moments that shine through. Rebellion seems to have increased the number of these moments, and it only takes a small tactical advantage to provide a fun experience. If I get beaten in this way, I don't even care, because I was out played. Sure, the AI does get extra resources, and that's not fair.... If 2 minutes into the gam
dammit... knew i shouldve finished my game last night...
Yeah, that reminds me: one dumb thing the AI did I should mention; it kept putting bounty on me, but pirates were off. That seems like a simple thing to stop it from doing, and then that cash can go into more offensive. I was quite impressed when it bypassed some worlds and then the lone disciple running around my core worlds shooting trade ship!
hmm.... can you repossess a neutral world? doesn't seem like the 're' part is working full time, but as I just mentioned in another thread, I have my loyalist titan out somewhere razing planets and I don't have colony ships... would be useful if I can get it leveled. On another note, how bout stealing some percentage of the population? no other upgrades (I actually think that would be difficult to design).
was this at your homeworld? return of the fallen will return ships to you at your homeworld. I'm pretty sure that would not be intentional. by 'constructor', I assume you mean the Talion Savior cruiser? just checking...
I would imagine the mines fix would be in as well, and the thread mentions the AI players building mostly capital ships being nearly fixed
You're saying the ships there didn't die or take damage?
