Has anyone asked the question of how to utilize battleship openers (2 battleships) as opposed to the other caps. What is the best way to really increase the efficiency of these caps in game as opposed to asking for buffs?
Ok, I don't have the multiplayer experience, and this is my opinion, so take this all with that qualification: If you're starting with dual battleships, you're saying &#
I do try and send some colony frigates to cap those invulnerable mining rigs, AI just sends their own too often for me to keep up. I really like capitol ships, they have lots of abilities and they pack a hell of a punch. I can research quite a bit of more fleet points and I still have 200 left, but I need to build up my money. I have found that starbases are a huge help, be it holding on till my fleet ge
Apparently you've never played Tic Tac Toe...
I would actually claim the AI in a game of Reversi is harder... they're very good at parsing all the possible choices. However, I did see a math paper recently that showed the AI is at a disadvantage in Reversi (I forget the reason).

As I have said in another thread, the AI can surprise you with some utterly brilliant tactics at times. That said, I do not think they need a nerf (as suggested in the title). First, you should know that the 'Unfair AI' is... unfair... it receives more credits than it should; and you have less planets than the combined AI forces, so... you are probably severely outgunned economically;

actually, volt might have hit the problem on the head... what's to stop you from animositizing a repulsive guardian? you've now turned 2 ships into something close to a subverter fleet. or even getting 2 or more radiances and bouncing the force attacks back and forth..? combine a couple radiances with a couple guardians, and this could be very, very annoying.

Argh... too much to read... I do have one thing to say though: Bilun, I thought where you were going to go with this post was 'Abilities shouldn't be the focus of battleships, dps should' and then suggest better scaling for both ships. Then, all of a sudden the topic became how best to adjust the abilities... I'll probably be vehemently disagreed with, but I've always thought the battleships should be floating guns, dishing out loads of damage. They would have low

I guess if there's a really good choke point, that might make sense to station a Revelation at your SB with some other backup, stacking guidance and reverie; If you get pushed enough there, you could get it up to a high enough level for hysteria, which would be quite useful. However, I'd think this too rare of a situation.

last I heard the Vasari Starbase jumping-thing was only to planets you own... Am I mistaken? Look, as for the e-sport thing... you're not going to help matters. I, for one, am of the opinion that e-sports can only ruin the game. I do not wish to turn this into a rant, but needless to say, that is my opinion and I am entitled to it. You are entitled to yours. I recommend just moving on to the topic at hand (BRB) otherwise people (not I) might just sta

we were more arguing about our interpretations about it. But I'm not upset, and I don't think Seleucia is either. We're interested and trying to explain and understand each other's ideas... People go off and debate baseball games and chit chat about them... this is similar situation, but the topic is neutrino physics. I do understand the difference between experimental results (measurement of the real world) and models (math that predicts what the experimental results
Not as crazy about this one- the advent have always had abundant incentive to go into the military tree, so I'm hesistant to add another new faction-specific tech to the military tree, rather then making it incentive to go harmony. That said It's still WAY better then the current state of things. Though I'd kind of like it if the advent loyals were more suited to investing more heavily in the harmony tree early. &nb

I kinda figured it would be something like we got... the only surprise here is that loyalist/rebel are different ships, but are mostly the same. The only real difference is their hit affects. And somehow this is tied to your faction? I don't see the point of this.... It would be more interesting to me if I had my choice between the 2 corvettes, but once you pick one, you can't pick the other. and maybe they have combat some differences otherwise, why make them differ

well, you never know... I've been looking at the game files and there is still some files for choosing factions. I've advocated this as well. Now that more of the abilities have been moved up and are accessible earlier, it's not as much of a necessity, but it would still be great to have an immediate benefit for choosing a particular faction.
