I just had a random thought about that on-titan's-death ability (i forgot what it's called at the moment. What if it having it would temporarily resurrect the titan (same as now), and you get the buff... but then if you resurrect one of your ships, that also activates the buff?

(ie mod a corvette to have entity type 'corvette') Will it not work? and then, what happens when you take it to your modded asteroid field? This could help figure out if it is intentional or not.

Back to the quantum computing topic... http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2012/04/120404161943.htm I'm glad they got that far, though it is only 2 qubits. Their design is also not repeatable (ie, you can't build 5 of this same device) due to the fact that they used flaws already in the diamond.

I have a guess: well, if they're all laptops, and the issue seems to be affected by higher resolutions... maybe it has to do with memory. Integrated graphics take a portion of memory from the system RAM. So, how does this relate to Sins? I'm not sure. However, there is always a pause and a black screen... even on desktops running advanced video cards. I would supposed that Sins, on start up, tries to allocate a lot RAM space, and maybe it overloads the RAM in some way

Sins is such a stat intensive game.... The post-game statistic should really be more detailed, and let you customize the views, and maybe keep the data and look at long term trends... More detailed stats will let new players know directly what worked in which circumstance, and reinforcing good strats, and help vets look for more detailed information. I'm kind of a fan of science, so I'd even vote

I can understand that viewpoint, but I have a few counter-ish points for you guys: First, if a game has been going on and now everyone realized you are close to diplomatic victory, it is fairly difficult to stop you from winning. As I said above, it's like a game timer. That said, I'm sure most people wouldn't let it get that far to begin with. Next, forget the goal of actually winning via diplomatic victory... It's actually really interesting to have

Interesting idea. Although, if that were the case, opening phase gates to bring remnants of the Dark Fleet back would more likely bring this ancient enemy. And if something was locked in phase space and didn't need to leave it to survive, wouldn't it have caught up to the Vasari by now? The Vasari have to eat and stuff, so they leave phase space. I have always thought some kind of unification/linking of the 3 races from before the war might be what was intended. The Advent pro

I disagree. I like physics because it's interesting. I like the way subtle little details combine to create something counterintuitive. It's fun to play with these ideas and see what comes out. I think that's why most physicists are physicists. Not because they're inspired to make the equation that will allow someone to make a teleporter or to build a device to test whether a particular kind of dark matter is out there. What you're thinking of i

well, diplomatic victory was always a bit broken. I felt you could get to it too quick in Trinity. However, I think there is some work to be done with it. For one thing, you'd think that if you were declared the Diplomatic Champion of the galaxy (assuming that's what is said when you win with a diplomatic victory), you should, at least have distributed a few pacts here and there. As it stands, you gain no more ground towards the diplomatic victory if you 1) have pacts, 2) rese

Well, I was editing it in OpenOffice for awhile, until I realized that it was losing my data queries. Turns out the Queries feature isnt so robust in OpenOffice. So, I went back to Excel. Now, I don't have excel on my personal computer, but I have access to a remote PC that does, so I use that. Unfortunately, this makes it difficult to tweak the formulas. you can open up the Excel files in OpenOffice just dandy. You can even play with the formulas. You just can't updat
