you sure you didn't get hit by a deliverence engine? that will make your planets spread his culture for a time.

I think the rebels will be fine once the resurrection tech starts working... in fact, it would be my guess that it was disabled on purpose due to it working too well . It is very easily over powering. Until we see this work, I would vote down changing anything if my vote even mattered. Honestly, loyalists have the least important faction tech. There are some nice things, for sure. I love the tier 2 culture tech. It's worth investing in culture very early because you c
The thing that bugs me about the Advent factions is both sides have all their tech in the civil tree. There is that one rebel tech that doubles shield regeneration, but that's it. It's good that there is some good tech in the civil tree now, but it comes at a cost. I think the Rebels will be pretty good if the resurrection stuff starts working like it's supposed to and/or it gets buffed to happen more often. I would take some of the loyalist culture tech and give it to the

Anyway all I've seen is negative feedback, thanks for the comments.
Well, everyone of us from time to time has said "hey, this isn't realistic scaling... It'd be cool to have it realistic" Trouble is, nobody has any freakin idea as to how big things would have to be in order to reflect true scaling. I see that your post is limited to pl

You killed our figment of your imagination! You bastard! Destroy them! Destroy them ALL!
my understanding of the tech is that its not tied to immediate deaths. ie, i just lost a frigate, i will now roll to see if it returns to life... its more like returning armada or truce amongst rogues in that every so often, you get ships. trouble is, where to bring them? however, i dont see any reason why the tech cant be made to work the way alot of people seem to think it does, via the on death-chance-to-resurrect method. can anyone think of a reason why you might not want to do it that wa
ill try turing down the graphics and see what happens on my system. save games do not recreate the crash; which is good, because you can pickup from where you left off.
please look through the forum topics and post in those same topics.
theres another thread or 6 on crashes to the desktop with no minidump already on the forums. No, save games do not recreate the issue.
dont the advent have this too? there's a research tech that gives you AM when you destroy a planet. I wasnt exactly sure how to do that, but based off what you said here, I think they can do it too.
I haven't looked at the numbers exactly, but my experience has been that they can't do much on their own. It's the weapon effects that make them effective, but to exploit that you need other ships. Now, I know that any idiot wouldn't have a fleet of only corvettes, however, after a certain point, I'd think that additional corvettes are pointless. And that's alright, because either I'm not adding more corvettes, I'm diversifying my fleet (good), or I'

Don't even get me started on the scaling.... you cant have a playable game with correct scaling.
he's talking more about the shape of the smoke clouds.... i hope. I won a game with Advent Rebels via Research Victory. The victory screen was completely white with the 2 options "keep playing" or "quit"
Question: Do you have real-time 'planet vision' of that star, despite having no ships or allies (with ship vision agreement) there?
I am sure that if your shield projected inside of the ship, the ship will be cut in twain from the shields. That is not cool, especially if you cut crew members in half - that would leave a big mess and I hate dealing with messes. Mitigation persists when the shields are de
Ok, tanks. Just want to make sure it wasn't that simple of a fix.
Have had this practically every game. I have submitted a screen capture. Btw, I sometimes do not get the error message, though it could be hidden from view. There is never a minidump
So, you're saying you've tried changing it to 'corvette', but it doesn't work? I'm not saying "create the entity type 'corvette'". I'm saying, "have you found out for sure that it doesn't exist?"
they're martyrs
huh... just remembered that useless tech 'martyrdom'... that could actually be useful now...
well, for even more realism, the colored skyboxes should be made black and white, because the light reflected from nebulae is so small, that is all the human eye can distiguish. And then stars should be millions of times bigger than the planets that orbit them.... gas giants should be much bigger too. And orbits! orbits need to be way way bigger. I seriously can not convey the scales involved as any kind of multiple of the current scheme. Then, you can forget other stars as
That does look awesome. looks like it's out running the shields :p
