Tolerance and open mindedness. Earth is a cesspool of intolerance and intoxication where we don't take care of even ourselves.
Open minded people that have the same beliefs? Don't those 2 ideas contradict?
And I think you underestimate the timing difference. That could be a whole minute of not building Illuminator's while your enemy is building LRM's. Don't discredit small things because they in fact do make a difference.
I think I estimate it just fine. My point was that if it was earlier in the tree, all 3 races would be going for them and we'd have more of a LRF spam issue than we curren

well, this is the main problem with the Domina: It's designed to be second-class. It supposed to be a Hoshiko and a Subverter combined, but it can't be better than either one. The best path would be a completely new set of abilities and role for this ship, but working with the intended design... this is how it goes. On the other hand, although the Domina is by far the worst, doesnt every race have 1 weak Utility cruiser?

I could agree with that, but last I heard that wasnt going to happen. And, btw, I'm not saying this is the only thing that needs fixing. Better auto-casting would be huge for the player and the opposing AI, but I think this gives the AI some character. If you have the AI on random, you'll be trying to figure out which 'type' of AI your facing... and that's akin, imho, to trying to ascertain a real opponent's strategy. Heck, we coul

Wait, wait, wait.... culture already affects income. Allegiance increases or decreases your income rates and extractor rates. If you want to better the advent early game economy, I'd say that simply making culture more accessible is the way to do it. Maybe some sort of research that makes your capital planet generate culture on its own. No culture center needed. Call it "Seat of the Unity" or something. As for illuminator... It could use a little help, but making it appear ea

Fixing it should also resolve a few other issues as well, but we're still looking at the best way to go about it.
That's why I thought it had been changed and I guess my head filled in the 1.32 part due to anticipation :p My suggestion would be to make it combo nicely with a capital ship'

Well, I just came up with the idea and not the fully blossomed game mechanic. Let's say that you don't want players invading planet A, so you setup a Phasic Thingamabob at planet B, pointing at planet A. Now, all traffic to A gets rerouted to B. As a way of balancing this out a bit, you could make opposing player's travel times to and from planet B significantly shortened. That way, if someone chains them together, while they are making it much more difficult to go straigh

Earlier in the post, it was mentioned that the AI 'styles' are lacking and the cheating levels annoying (paraphrasing a bit here). I thought about it, and wondered what it'd be like if there was different cheating the AI got (AI must have some kind of advantage to win. The goal is to make it less blatant and seem like you're on equal footing). So: Fortifier : Starts the game with several planets already. Primary research

Beyond the standard scenario questions of when shield mitigation is taking damage off, you're asking about shield projection. I'm pretty sure the guardian's mitigation does nothing for the other ship (hence forth, this shall be known as Ship B.) Your shield upgrades mean that the guardian has a much bigger pool of shield points. Ship B is affected as well, but since the guardian starts with a bigger pool, the upgrade has a bigger impact on it than Ship B.<

The Vasari have phase gates they use to warp there ships around where to they want to go. Why wouldn't they use that same tech to re-route opposing ships? That's a pretty good defense. You go to invade a planet and the phase lane takes you somewhere else. I know the Vasari are already strong and probably dont need something like this, but I thought it'd be a cool trick. Can maybe have TEC re-route trade ships from opposing planets to yours. Advent... could.... I d

Well, you could just spam flak, but i think you'd have to outnumber him to be effective there. The problem is this: everything has a counter. The way to gain the edge is to find the thing that isn't up to par and exploit that. If your facing an overwhelming amount of LRF in the early game, the best counter is fighters. Then he has to counter you with flak. Your choices now are to counter the flak (with LF, which he already has countered) or to really go overboard with
But why use 5 LRF?
It depends what kind of data you want to get out of it. I was looking at what number of LF, minimum, would beat the minimum 'pack' of LRF you could expect to encounter. I figured 5 LRF would be the bare minimum that would be encountered (think: point blank scenario or 1 roid, etc), and it makes it easy to scale up the numbers to what you are encountering. Obviously, if you want to look a

So... to sum this up so far: Advent start in 5v5 mp should drop hostility labs first and aim for flak and illuminators? what happens when you have an ice world next door? Or is the consensus to spam tier 0 first, see whats up, then decide hostility/harmony? And in refrence to the OP: Using my handy sandbox calc in the excel sheet I made, I got these results (note this is without upgrades and shield mitigation):

starbases are listed under the capital ship tab. All the way on the bottom. Of course, this is the initial values, not with starbase upgrades. As for structures, you basically are wanting a listing of the hp of each of the structures? I could probably add that pretty easily. I'm a bit backed up at the moment, but I'll get it in there as it is pretty easy (just slightly time intensive).

I think the best thing that could be done for the empire tree would be more options. Starbases are auto-pinned, lets get an option for that. I'm sure that Titans should also get a toggle. I wouldnt mind sort of a combination thing, where maybe a neutral/contested planet that I have ships at is added to the tree. But if I retreat back to my planets, it is removed (and the ships arent pinned either). Make an option to default new planets to minimized or even one that maximizing

Thanks. Hey, you know your link in that last post doesnt link to anything specific. Just the science daily quantum physics news listing. Well, everything gets convoluted as you go deeper into the quantum physics of it. For example, there are said to be 4 fundamental forces. These 'forces' are the result of particle exchanges (gravity is not very well understood, so im not really speaking of that force), and these dont even abide the f=ma law that defined the term &#39
