I see it used more than other capital ships online by exp players. The kol is the ship i see the least, and i argue it is worse even than the rankulus.
Uncrustable
There was a time however when the kol was a viable capital ship. The time of the carrier caps. Esp the skirantra. 2,3 sometimes even 4 carrier cap starts. Bomber swarms were prevalent and difficult to counter. If you could get a kol to level 5 it was very usefull. However even then, the dunov was better. EMP + mappulse = dead sc and no AM or shields for the skirantras...not to mention sheild restore keeping each other alive. The only thing the kol could do was kill SC, nothing
Im uncrustable online and here :( Maybe im hiding as myself, its so obvious its unbelievable :D
Seleuceia i take it you dont play online much :P "mass produce capital ships'...lawl
If you read the manual, it makes it perfectly obvious when the Kol is most effective - as a reinforcement to established front line TEC battlegroups. The Kol with a level 6 Dunov is ridiculous. I do suspect that it is best suited to longer games though. TEC would probably benefit quite a lot from antimatter transfer. . . The Ragnarov appears to fulfil a very specific niche,
Quoting joasoze, reply 1 Total Annihilation is still the best RTS ever made! And it's follow up: Supreme Commander. Just a shame Supreme Commander 2 had other developers and tasted more like cow shit then honney.
And the third of the series: Planetary Annihilation. In beta now
what do any of you think about steams new box pc thing coming out later this year?
Personally I think the devs made a mistake to add capital ships in rebellion. Why? The current capitals we had were not balanced, adding to them only made it worse. With the current fleet balance = LF/Corvette spam you rarely see more than 1-2 capital ships per player anyhow as they are a pain to keep alive long enough to be usefull. I miss the 3 cap starts we used to have :( And IMO the Kol (the one on the box ffs and the toy you get with it) has been
Rankulas or Kol ?
Cant wait for the game that combines Planetary Annihilation with Sins of a Solar Empire...thatl be the day.
The Executor is a class of super star destroyers Similar to the Imperial class of star destroyers There are other classes of super star destroyers (and star destroyers), the black one with the super laser comes to mind (clone Sidious) super star destroyer is a type, not a class
Quoting Derek06, reply 8Making civic labs in this spot (unless you know its noobs around you) is utter stupidity in 5v5. You waste a much more valuable resource than money, you waste time. Which you have very little of. I would disagree in the case of Advent. Civ labs aren't the first priority for sure, but once you have a starbase and fleet to defend, your next concern is getting cultured out. As Advent in th
If im TEC or Vasari i like to build LRF, they will have no problem dealing with an early game SB. And once you deal with it you are in very good shape relative to him. Marza, Prog, and the Egg all have good damage abilities for early game that will aid your fleet. You really cant go wrong fleeting up asap in 5v5 if your not in eco spot...
Not to offend anyone but going 3 heck even 2 civ labs in suicide against skilled will ensure your death in first 15 min of the game and is plain stupid. Perhaps there is one exception when you have 4 pj from either of enemies but even then.....
This. As soon as you realize your in suicide spot, get your cap out. make military lab and scuttle your cap factory. Either
This ticks me off, unbeknownst to me i have played now a bunch of games without recording. Auto record was always on in previous versions of sins.. Why did they change this?
Does any one else think that "Truce Amongst Rogues" needs nerfed ?
IM SO ANGRY FOR REASONS I DO NOT KNOW I WILL COME ON HERE AND VENT.... DAMN YOU SINS AND STEAM AND 64BIT MULTI CORE AND SUCH WHY ARE YOU MAKING A SEQUEL? I HATE YOU haha jk i love this game :D
There needs to be a turorials on the rock papar scissor mechanics of sins. Teach players what counters what. For example: Light frigates counter both flak and carriers. Long Range Frigates counter Light frigate. Flak counters Long Range Frigates and Fighters...etc...etc....
The Ogrov doesn't really stand out by comparison with TEC's other daunting early-game and mid-game strengths. The 2-lab trade port, the LRM, the hoshiko, the Akkan, the Sova... they all come together in an excellent synthesis to give TEC a brutal game plan. The Ogrov is definitely a strong unit, but it doesn't stand out compared to the rest of the crowd. It's really the combination of all these st
Honestly i just hate it when people lose an rts game due to a specific strat and the first thing they do is run to the forums and scream "ENTER UNIT NAME HERE" IS OP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! sanchez if you knew how to scout you would see them coming they really are not that fast and they take awhile to build, as vasari pji is easy to get so build a couple pji there is no difference in this strat and the seige frigate mass rush (which i see alot of online), some
I would love it if capitals were more viable in any point of the game You cant really spam caps lol that takes wayy too much and the max is 18 i think If more caps are made then alot less frigs are being built that would actually reduce spam and possibly reduce lag
Sanchez: You tried to chase down ogrovs with LRF ???????? LOL why would you try to chase anything with LRF ? :P Light frigates, scouts or flak or a carrier cap Dont complain that the slowest unit in the game cant catch anything...... AND WE DO NOT NEED ANYTHING TO BUFF LRF even an indirect buff would be insanely stupid Dont cry either cause you can only spam one unit and it will do everything
