Oh, most definitely - The OP should run WinDirStat or SequoiaView in order to see if there's a massive file taking up space or a bunch of similarly named/extension files in the same directory or otherwise. Wizard - You have to take into account that perhaps this was a clean install, or the OP opted for a clean install (Dell allows this, I think). Vista + Crapware = ~15GB. Vista by itself usually takes... ~3GB, last time I checked. The DVD has a bit more than 2GB of stuff on it

I suppose the above post was a bad way to bump this thread... Anyways: SupCom Mod!!! Woo! Not really, but the insane unit caps do remind me of SupCom, and what better battlefield to have them on than in space? Someone really needs to get this mod back up and running with 1.05+

*Bump* Well, sorry to hear that, Volt. 7DS was designed to isolate the best nids and to implement them in the most efficient way possible. Here's we wouldn't be adding units and such; this mod would be for enhancing the game itself.

*Bump* Well, back from a break; I'm uploading both a conversion mod with all new tracks for ingame music and a smaller, selective one. Expect it by tomorrow or the day after; depends on when I get my new computer parts =)

I recently got WinFX, as I thought my box could handle it, but I was proven very wrong today. It's not memory usage, as WinFX only uses 2 megs of RAM, and probably not CPU, either, but it seems to be that everything lags down with WinFX loaded. The animations don't work 100% of the time, and everything dies if I apply a minimize animation. One of the most annoying issues is the a black border appears at the bottom right part of windows. I'm using WinFX 3.0 on Windows XP SP2. System

I wish I could say this was IBTL, but apparently, the mods have decided not to touch it... This guy is probably just looking for attention, reading our posts, not daring to ever come back to the forums again to post. It's not vapourware as it's not real, period.

And why exactly aren't I a candidate to test? =) Perhaps it's not a Bink/Smacker problem. http://www.gamershell.com/download_5527.shtml Download that and see if it runs properly. If it does, it's not a Bink issue.

It's all right. But in order to make a mini-pak for the gamers on dial-up, I need a consensus on the better tracks. Should I proceed with the conversion mod?

Something I was considering, perhaps we should have 3 ships per race? I know we'd only be able to build one, but this gives an element of variety and surprise. You're never quite sure what the enemy's going to build. However, the three ships, in order to stay within your objective, would be geared towards the same orientation. All the Olympus TEC ship would be forward Titans, all three Advent ships would be Supercarriers, and so on.

Would it be possible to decrease the 'tax' that's taken from your resources when you have large fleet supplies? It's a bit hindering early in the game when you're pushing units to fight.

You are not my friends in videogames. and no, I didn't put a babelfish in my ear, either. It's videojuegas, by the way.

Well, you'll need a proper editing tool to edit TGAs, first of all, and these operate kinda like buttons for GUI skins. The new pictures need to be put exactly where the old ones were. I'm not sure if it would just work by adding new pictures there. There could be some more files that need to be edited to show the new pics ingame.

You wouldn't mind if I did a little modeling, would you? An awesome design came to me last night. I'll post them here if you'd let me.

Right, you'll have to get cmd running before you navigate to wherever ConvertXSI is located. Start > Run > type in CMD. The terminal should come up, so just type the path to where the file is. For example, if I had ConvertXSI in a folder directly off the C:\ drive, I'd type something that would look like this: C:\ConvertXSI\convertxsi.exe Ignore the part where it says C:\Documents and Settings\Your Name\ And then perhaps some text wou

Hah, the lack of a decent quoting system prevent quote towers around here. Pending evaluation from you and Sparda, I think, I'll narrow the track list, add a few new candidates, and perhaps this will be released in 7DS 1.4, or maybe 1.3e? I don't know your naming conventions but anyways. Next release, right?

Hmm, it doesn't sound very balanced to me... Personally, I've seen battles where the craft were the deciding point. 30 of these monsters would ruin balance, unless they can be countered effectively with current pseudo-point defence weapons.

Bah! Admin! Nuke that post! No, not the thread, the post. Easy with that thing... Und I included an uber HTML badge for the filefront link. Share and enjoy! (A cookie to who knows that reference)
Wait, isn't 13 sounds per empire enough? I mean you can have a "Yes sir!" voice for all the units, 2 event voice overs "Something Good has happened!" and "Something Bad has happened!" And then 10 weapons sounds. MORE than enough!! lol
Well, I suppose, but without decent voice acting (No offense to Stardock) variety keeps me sane. Weapon sounds are a must as well. Another thing I would like to ask: Would anyone mind a conversion mod?<br/
