I suppose the above post was a bad way to bump this thread... Anyways: SupCom Mod!!! Woo! Not really, but the insane unit caps do remind me of SupCom, and what better battlefield to have them on than in space? Someone really needs to get this mod back up and running with 1.05+

*Bump* Well, sorry to hear that, Volt. 7DS was designed to isolate the best nids and to implement them in the most efficient way possible. Here's we wouldn't be adding units and such; this mod would be for enhancing the game itself.

*Bump* Well, back from a break; I'm uploading both a conversion mod with all new tracks for ingame music and a smaller, selective one. Expect it by tomorrow or the day after; depends on when I get my new computer parts =)

It's all right. But in order to make a mini-pak for the gamers on dial-up, I need a consensus on the better tracks. Should I proceed with the conversion mod?

Something I was considering, perhaps we should have 3 ships per race? I know we'd only be able to build one, but this gives an element of variety and surprise. You're never quite sure what the enemy's going to build. However, the three ships, in order to stay within your objective, would be geared towards the same orientation. All the Olympus TEC ship would be forward Titans, all three Advent ships would be Supercarriers, and so on.

Did you just find this or did you make the icon yourself? Personally, I like the normal icon for my desktop and start menu, but this looks a LOT better on Rocket/ObjectDock. Good work.

Would it be possible to decrease the 'tax' that's taken from your resources when you have large fleet supplies? It's a bit hindering early in the game when you're pushing units to fight.

Well, you'll need a proper editing tool to edit TGAs, first of all, and these operate kinda like buttons for GUI skins. The new pictures need to be put exactly where the old ones were. I'm not sure if it would just work by adding new pictures there. There could be some more files that need to be edited to show the new pics ingame.

Right, you'll have to get cmd running before you navigate to wherever ConvertXSI is located. Start > Run > type in CMD. The terminal should come up, so just type the path to where the file is. For example, if I had ConvertXSI in a folder directly off the C:\ drive, I'd type something that would look like this: C:\ConvertXSI\convertxsi.exe Ignore the part where it says C:\Documents and Settings\[i]Your Name[/i]\ And then perhaps some text wou

Hah, the lack of a decent quoting system prevent quote towers around here. Pending evaluation from you and Sparda, I think, I'll narrow the track list, add a few new candidates, and perhaps this will be released in 7DS 1.4, or maybe 1.3e? Hmm, it doesn't sound very balanced to me... Personally, I've seen battles where the craft were the deciding point. 30 of these monsters would ruin balance, unless they can be countered effectively with current pseudo-point defence weapons.

Wow, that was one of the most convoluted backstories I've ever heard; and my little brother pushes one onto me every day! No real info at all. Why not just skip the story and focus on the meshes and content as a whole?

No, we won't resort to removal of voice files yet. I'll rerelease a trimmed down version with the help of Sparda and anyone else with the courage to download the music. Not to mention, I've got plans for Halo and an unofficial Star Wars pack coming up.
