Yep I been sayin vas are now op and people still wanting buffs to orkies and such. Taking out 80 ilums in 20 sec without losing 1 ship op????????Whaaaaaaaaaat??????[e digicons]8O[/e]

In your 0.08 calc for refineries is that just for 1 refinery?I thought the closer you get to the quota the more effiecient they become? With that number it still doesnt justify very much.By the time you can get refineries its prolly much more cost effective to get the tec that makes blackmarket cheaper. That makes tp much more valuable.Refineries shouldnt equal tp they should be better. They cost more to get, more to research, and more to place. You should get better returns for your investment. Her

Heres how I feel about it.If your gonna go the extra mile to buy labs and spend more money on a higher level tec it should outperform a lower level tec.Its like buyin a computer from 5 years ago that is cheaper and faster than a new one.Not to mention it costs you risk in slots and the fact your not building up your fleet. So it needs to be worth your while.I could go for refineries getting a 10-20% increase. That way it is valuable in much more common lower rock counts then those highly unlike
I would agree these need help.
Well I ment no offense but he said he should be able to take out an entire defensive system without losing a ship.Come on now.
Sorry deciever but im starting to think greekgeek is jj as well.He is just to good.If he lost its maybe cause hes playin diplomacy and tryin out somethin new.Or hes smurfing and doesnt care to play his best.
With a heavier armour type, switching to assault cruisers would be an intelligent move to nullify the opponent's advantage, rather than a gamble that the opponent doesn't know how to micro-manage his fighters and just clean up with his fleet, (or he has repulse, in which case the flak frigates get slapped away and the assault cruisers are then minced at lesiure by the fighters, at least with different armour, they might do some meaningful damage, but this is a specific situation),[/qu
You could drop an orky on their hw for insurance [e digicons]:D[/e]
I really dont understand this arguement. Its so easy to defend against fighters.20 flak and a few hoshis can probably defend against a heavily fighter based defended planet.Ya you may lose an orgov or 2 but the defender loses all his structures and sb and planet.Makin the defender change as you arrive makes it impossible for the guy to have the chance to kill even 1 ogrov.Against a large fleet with fighters?Bring a kol and park it next to you ogrovs he will lose all his fighters very fast.Agai
Deciever you should keep this thread going and just delete the ones they patched already. That way we dont have to revote on stuff. BTW guys deciever is right about fighters countering bombers and anti structure cruisers. The system works well. Its just like he stated. You cant split up your defense nor can you change them aroun on command.
They're called fighters. Unless the enemy is protecting those scouts with flaks and other unit types and such (in which case, it's NOT scout spam) you can use strike craft to knock them out.
If they decide to leave u can never catch scouts.Sure u may take out a few but thats 200 creds?Carriers jump out and you can follow them and catch them with pretty much anything nowadays. All that means for scouts is when he get flak he will bring them back to kill any lrf you may h
Give them shields with miti case closed.
He means you cant catch scouts with anything.Carriers are slow and you can at least pursue them. All you can do with scouts is wait for them to hit you.
Are you guys taking into consideration the upgrade that allows sb to target 1 extra target.Thats a 25% boost in firepower from 1 direction.Put the orky in the middle and target extre 4 structures at once.It also gives 10% damage buff.
I just disagree with you guys.Orky is best sb in game.Dis tears up structures pretty fast. Its basically the only sb I use in mp on a regular basis. Its not the best defending sb but best all around.I have been attacked with an orky against my sb with overseers healing it while it attacks you dont even need to retreat it to heal.Against a good vas player they are extremely tuff to defend against and you have to have your own fleet to do it.It just sounds like you guys want the orky to do everyt
Ya well that was kinda my point as to why it was good for me at least.I survived basically a 2v1 situation while blue basically just stalled my ally for a long time and attacked me with what he could. At the same time I fight off a huge tec eco montster(compared to me) with smaller fleet and win. Also tho I got fed like you said my ally didnt have much eco.He did try to feed when I asked and followed my advice which was very nice and I appreciated that.He makes a great team player for those rea
Doesnt the 3 weapons up the weapon damage by 20%?Thats basically what your askin for anyway.
Sb as an aussult makes up in locking down a system and force projection in that system.40 hc =400 fleet supply.30hc +fully uped sb = about same fleet supply.Meaning you win.Other guy has to up his fleet supply taking a hit on his eco while u can projoect much more force for the supply.Ya its exp to get up and running but it pays itself back easy by winning you a system and locking it down.Very handy tool.Did you guys look at my replay?Proves how a much smaller vas fleet can take down a much l
New 1.05 replay.Very good thought we had lost it.I use mines and subs offensively to take down a massive tec fleet with big eco and I havin none. Its a 2v2.Big comeback. http://www.filefront.com/15501241/Mine%20ownage.record
I completely agree with grey here.Look at vas.The thing can move. You put a pji in well and orky is a death trap. Not so for other sb.You just fly past them. You cant really use other sb for offense either.Vas have phase gates.Even one on sb.SO YOU CAN WARP YOUR FLEET FROM ANYWHERE TO SUPPORT IT.You cannot do this with others. If your fleet is away kiss sb goodbye to mass bombers or another vas sb.Add in a few subs and you can never retreat from an orky.Deflector is off for 30 sec you say?Well su
(phase stabilizer, right! Ever saw THAT in a serious game?)
Ya I used it on a sb i sneaked thru past a heavily defended planet while he tried to repel me from attacking it.Then I jumped straight past it to my sb and started killin all his worlds. It was pretty effective.
I completely agree with this but there is a bit of a work around. At least for cap ship if yo tell it to move directly behind it it will just spin and not move to get there. Then when it turns you tell it to go where you want. Not sure how well it works with large group of ships but at least for a cap you can control this.Should you have to?I think not.
I think this orky talk about it doin to little damage is a non issue. Its damage is divided by 4 banks yes but each bank fires at 4 targets. The orky is really well balanced for vas imo.You want a large illum fleet killin orky then get deflector shields and have some overseers there. If he wants to get past your deflectors he will have to spilit up and fire from different sides effectively tripling your firepower.Mabye get some subs problems solved.Have trouble with sc killin your orkies?Ge
