To those saying buff fighters, that creates brand new problems because those improved fighters need to be balanced against everything else that's not lrms.
Not really.Fighters are good counters and so are flaks and always will be.Its the ratio thats screwed up.Flak supress fighters to well.It would for lrf spammers to make more flak to keep their lrf safe.Right now they need few compared to many fighters so ratio remains lrf heavy.

Cykur you think carrier to lrf is fine the way it is?Alpha strikes happen with any unit.100 lrf will snipe any capship before any amount of sc or any other ship can kill them.Same for bombers,hc,and to a degree lf and fighters(targets they have good damage against).I would think if bombers are more useful then you will have to see more fighters. Its not like you will alpha strike a massive ball of lrf at once anyway.Noone wants to buff fighters(except me) and this is one way for carriers

I still think increasing bomber damage vs lrf would be a good idea.It would make carriers more usable and fullfill their role as anti lrf better. It would also force fleet diversification.Only other ship that uses light armor is scout?Right now bomber does 50% to lrf.75-100 would prolly do it.It would not change any other relationships of other ships. If I was to buff hc I would proll give lf and lrf a 5% nerf damagewise to them. They dont need much.Bombers handle them quite nicely.
Well, the Rapture doesn't do anything for itself directly though it does reduce accuracy. And then I don't think you would really consider POH's +200 shield self-sustaining... Though Idk... The cielo seems fine to me... What is it? Something like +40% damage to a target? Just have 3-5 of these in your fleet and enemy caps go boom.
Rapture can use vengeance on itself so it does support itself.Designate target is perfect yes I agree.Im talkin about embolden its
They're slowly winning the strike craft war (your inferior cruiser carriers are only buying time). This is why you need to outnumber them, to actually suppress strike craft levels so you can take advantage of air supremacy.
Not if you can add in a few flak.Flak will suppress them along with your fighters to the point they cant outbuild you.The other thing is you are purely basing it from cap to cruiser.Where is your own cap?It would surely be in the fight as well.Altho
6 Drone Hosts: 21300 effective credits 9 TEC/Vasari Carriers: 22400 effective credits 3 Capital Ship: 16400 effective credits Yes, if you ignore the free capital ship it works for Advent and marginally for TEC: 4 Drone Hosts: 14500 effective credits 6 TEC/Vasari Carriers: 16100 effective credits 2 Capital Ship: 16400 effective credits
So 6 hosts is 18 squads and 3 caps is a max at level 1 1
You're missing the point. I agree that doing this is the best course of action, but the math I just showed demonstrated that the correct carrier to choose to counter a capital carrier is another capital carrier. This is the problem, the carrier caps are blatantly outperforming carrier cruisers at level 1.
This was the reason we buffed them now you want to buff carriers back to the way they were?Your math is flawed in that it only works for maybe the 2nd cap. From there o
As you can see, there's not a hope in hell of TEC or Vasari actually getting a cost-effective counter to capital carriers out of carrier cruisers. They should ALWAYS go with a carrier cap. Advent might have a shot with drone hosts, but why would you bother when your capital carrier also happens to have anti-strike craft abilities, making it the hands-down best choice. This is why I'm calling for a carrier cruiser cost reduction; it costs too much to get them out of the door early compa

Thats what flak is for.If you buff am on carriers then all you will do is make bombers less useful. It will cause carriers to be able to produce a constant stream of fighters so you will never be able to clear fighters out.Advent fighters build at 17 sec a piece.Just 2 hosts will be making a fighter every few seconds.Make fighters themselves tougher and make losing them more costly. Most of the am upgrades are paticularly helpful to the carriers. Most people dont like the sc for free part about

You guys are gettin out there. The only one that has any chance of making it is adjusting miti to cap levels.I would never vote yes to more than what deciever has suggested.80-82% tops.Otherwise its rediculous how much caps will be able to absorb. One of the fun aspects of the game is using your cap while its in danger.if your cap is never in danger then your just spamming abilities and not really accomplishing much.Bottom line for me is I will be voting no for anything over 82% and Im even hes
