Making GRG only effect hull is reasonable but keeping AFF as an active ability means that the Kol's issues with AM efficiency remain. Giving Militia Weapons and Armour a tier 0 affect would give the TL something unique at the start of the game. Group Shield can't stay online long enough often enough to make a real difference. I'm starting to prefer a different approach to Furious Defense. I think instead it might be a good change if it was made passive as s
Really? TEC Loyalists get a 30% weapons and 4 armor buff and just for being in an owned gravity well. I think Fury of the Unity could have been the Tier 2 tech after the first two culture upgrades considering it's only a 10% buff which would help early game but hardly be game changing mid or late game. T8 should be game changing which this is clearly not.
Fury of the Unity grants a 20% damage buff and Militia Weapons/Armour

Edited OP to include correct time for passive regen nerf granted by Vasari turrets with upgrade. This is even more OP against Titans than I thought. There are different ways to fix this. One possibility is to make Micro-Phase Jump an ability that channels for a few seconds before activating and then after teleportation occurs, it can't use any special abilities for a brief period. This might buy some time for the other player. Also, the cool-down time and possibly range could be tweaked so that it can be caught. The VL Titan is also hard to AM drain because it so rarely uses its special abilities so it usually has plenty of A
A secondary effec would be nice, but it would also go a long way to simply reduce the antimatter cost GRG and make it's cost not scale up with level. GRG adds very substantial DPS if it can actually be spammed, but at present it runs the Kol out of AM fast.
That's a fair point. This would especially be good early game. My idea centered around making GRG better late game. [quote who="bilun" r

I'm not saying a starbase makes a world safe, but an orky needs to be dealt with before the rest of the grav well can be assaulted, which buys time for your fleet to get there.
Doesn't matter because Vasari have phase stabilisers. The purpose of this thread is record all balance issues in one place for easy reference and then to suggest changes. Here I'll list some examples of possible solutions from my own ideas and also ideas that have been floating around on the forums. Ideas that are not my own (which is most of them) are marked with an asterisk. Any input would be greatly appreciated. EDIT: Non-fact

1) Carrier fleets should be kept on the far end of a gravity well, as far away from combat units as possible. 2) Don't give the AI a chance to recover. Siege their planets so that the AI cannot immediately rebuild. Turning pirates off is an option in the game settings, the tab is right next to the victory options tab. 3) The custom map that you are playing is harder than the standard game, no wonder you are struggling. 4) Titans level up when enemy ships in the sam

If that changes we will need to re-envision the whole advent balance paradigm. Well it's not like eco buf

Making Phase Jumping for SBs cost slots is a pretty good solution but it still allows the VR to have a 'ship' stronger than any capital for no fleet supply. Crazy idea: Phase engines for SBs could become a tier 1 tech that is the prerequisite for remote assembly and also limits starbase upgrade slots to only 4 in total and increases their cost and/or makes them cost a bit of fleet supply. VR SBs would be a little harder to get but far more flexible in the earl

For the Vasari, lowering bomber DPS and making phase jumping SBs cost fleet supply is a no brainer. Decreasing the movement speed of the Orky sound fair as well. Raised Shield Harmonics, possibly Protection of the Unity and maybe even Ancient Retribution should grant Phase Missile block. If the Subjugator's Perseverance ability had 10000-12000 range then they would be easier to use and could have more of an impact. Since the devs are unlikely to make Advent ships

Just about all the fixes seem good and some very welcome changes. Fury of the Unity buff is exactly what I thought wasn't need but is still very welcome. Assimilated Populace buff is modest but also welcome. Sadly, AR's Expulsion got slightly nerfed for some reason. This patch has greatly narrowed down the list of what needs to be changed next: Wail should only effect 1 grav-well at a time by making it a targeting ability like a super-weapon or

Great post, the devs should read this. Good info, some of these techs especially Planet for a Planet suck even harder than I thought. Suggested changes are all good especially since they don't change the mechanics or the concept too much. That said, Repossession makes a 30% more bombing damage buff somewhat unnecessary as mentioned earlier. If Planet for a Planet also gave a 30% damage boost against planetary structures and a 15% damage boost against enemy SBs, t

Never knew that this was even possible with the game engine, let alone that it was already implemented for cap ships. Very interesting. EDIT: If this is applied on every ability equally, then it won't work all that well. If applied differently on different abilities, than it can, but then it wouldn't really be any different to directly nerfing some abilities anyway.
