@Volt I inflated the numbers to make my idea sound more impressive. @ Seleucia Why not? AL focus on influence (i.e Acclimatization and Confluence) and influence is a big way to gain money. Instead of thinking of it like tithing, think of it like the Huns or Mongols being paid off.

You have to retreat them the moment he is phase jumping to your position, otherwise they are going to be history. You should know that frigates are more important than capital ships in a game against a human opponent. Sure, build captital ships when the hostile titan is approaching level 6. And then? Are you believing that your new capital ships are a good counter to a

Australia. There is no indication as far as I was aware that Sins Rebellion was actually available retail anywhere.
According to this website's store page, Rebellion is digital download only and the collectors edition isn't even out yet. So how is this possible? link: Found in the local bargain bin.

The loyalist play fine and their weapon techs are arguably just ad-dons.
The other factions get much more than just add-ons. EDIT: Other factions get changes that are more far-reaching.
The issue isn't the underpoweredness of the AL fleet (AL fleet is fine) but the blandness and weakness (for their tier) of so many of their techs. The 5% damage buff of Fury of the Unity would be fine if it were a military tech in an appropriate tier. Winning as a particular race says nothing about their balance.
Ah, OK right. I know nothing about modding, forgive me.
Considering the vasari have a non-faction specific tech 2 tiers lower then assimilated populace which passively increases population generation rate by 40%, it should be perfectly fine for assimilated populace to give a 10 minute 50% population gain rate buff to newly colonized planets. This would essentially result in an extra 37.5 population generated over the first 10 minutes after co
Capital ship income for VL is not an ability, not sure if its taxed though. Mass Communion income could be implemented like that, or alternatively it could just increase the amount of taxed income within said gravity well.
Wow Assimilated Populace is even worse than I imagined. The whole point of Repossession is that in captures a world without bombing, so this ability should capture planets with all health, population and planetary upgrades intact. The simplest way to make Advent more competitive with the other factions would be to strengthen their economy. If AL got eco bonuses instead of useless damage ones, they would be in far better shape. Confluence should give a +10% tax i
Interesting approach but somewhat complex to balance especially if it gives a different buff to different abilities. Using Guidance on itself could give Reverie a small AoE and/or allow targeted ships to receive more damage before causing the ability to wear off.

Sounds good to me. That leaves Unity's Guidance. I guess this would fit best with Ancient Retribution.
Rather than new techs, the second and third ideas could be integrated into existing techs.

I agree with a lot said here and have been pushing for the same thing. 1. An early game allegiance buff would be nice, although I would also like to see this complimented later on by an in-culture trade income boost, provided by Assimilated Populace for example. 3. Global Unity can be a very strong tech if it is tier 3 but I don't think it will be a problem. 4. and 5. Agreed with Volt. 6. Glad someone else agrees that Fury of the Unity
